3 Safety instructions The safety of AEG electrical appliances conforms to accepted rules of technology and the Appliance Safety Act. W e as manufacturer s, however , see ourselves as being obliged to familiarise you with the following safety instructions.
4 ● The water in your dishwasher should not be used for drinking. Deter gent residues may still be pr esent in your machine. Make sur e you do not splash these caustic residues onto your skin or suffocate your self! Keep children well away fr om your dishwasher when its door is open.
5 Disposing of packaging and old machine Warning! P ackaging parts (e.g. foil s , styrene foam) may be dangerou s for childr en, who could even be suffocated! Y ou should ther efor e keep all packaging well away fr om children.
6 Oper ating your dishwasher economically and with r egar d for the envir onment Collect your dirty dishes, stack them in the dishwasher , and only wash them when both baskets are full, making sur e that the latter ar e never overloaded. Only then can you be sure that you ar e machine-washing economically and with regar d for the envir onment.
7 Suitable crockery The following items have certain machine washing limitations: - Only wash earthenware cr ockery in your dishwasher if the manufactur er has expressly indicated it as being suitable for that purpose. - Some types of decoration which have been painted over the glaze may fade after frequent machine washing.

9 Use 1. On/Off pushbutton On By depressing this pushbutton the machine starts operating and, at the same time, the pilot light comes on. Off When the washing progr amme has finished, the machine stops automatically and the pilot light remains on.

11 ** As some products can be mor e efficient than other s, please also pay attention to the dosage instructions from the manufactur er of your br and. *** These specifications are indicative values and depend on the pr essur e and temperatur e of the water , and also on voltage modifications.
12 Befor e using your dishwasher for the first time When your new dishwasher is corr ectly set up and installed, you must first make it ready for use. Before using your dishwasher for the fir st time, pr oceed as follows: - set the water softener; - fill the special salt container with special salt; - fill the rinse-aid dispenser with rinse-aid.
13 T o adjust the water softener With a screwdriver turn the selector on the upper fr ont corner of the machine until the level requir ed corr esponds with the marker . Filling with special salt Caution! The packaging of dishwasher salt and deter gents are often very similar .
14 Caution: Only fill salt just before starting one of the complete washing progr ammes (not the Rinse and Hold pr ogr amme). This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water , which may have been spilled, r emaining on the bottom of the machine for any period of time, which could cause corr osion.
15 Rinse aid replenishment indicator Top up with rinse aid when the rinse aid contr ol light on the contr ol panel flashes (approx. 7 0 - 80 ml). Tighten firmly the cover . Clean up any rinse aid spilt during filling with an absorbent cloth to avoid excess foaming during the next wash.
16 Adding dishwashing deter gent Use only tablets, powder or liquid deter gents specifically designed for domestic dishwashers. Before starting any of the dishwashing pr ogr ammes, except for the rinse and hold progr amme, load the deter gent in the dispenser .
17 At the end of any washing progr amme the lid is always open, r eady for the next wash. Since not all detergents ar e the same, you should also consult the instructions on the packet.
18 Loading your machine Before placing dishes in the machine, r emove any lar ge scr aps of food from the plates (small bones, toothpicks, fish bones, scr aps of meat and vegetables, fruit skins etc.) to avoid clogging the filter s and consequently reducing performance.
19 Cutlery basket Place knives, forks and spoons in the cutlery basket with their handles pointing downwards. Arrange cutlery loosely and distribute it in all compartments so that each individual article has good contact with washing water . Also do not arrange spoons and forks with their dirty side in contact with each other .
20 The upper basket The upper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucer s, dinner plates up to 24 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses; these should be arranged as shown in the pictur es. Glasses with long stems can be placed upside-down in the raised cup-r acks.
21 Oper ating instructions Set and start the progr amme Push the plug into the socket. Open the water supply . Close the dishwasher door . Turn the pr ogr amme selector dial clockwise, until the letter of the r equired progr amme is opposite the indicator mark on the contr ol panel.
22 Car e instructions Internal and external cleaning Clean the screen and contr ols of your dishwasher wher e necessary with a soft cloth and lukewarm water . Important note! Never use commercially available furnitur e cleaner s or aggressive deter gents.
23 Cleaning the lar ge filter (every two months) If necessary clean the lar ge filter (B) on both sides under running water , using a brush. To take it out r emove the spr ay arm by pulling it upwar d on one side, turn the column (C) anticlockwise by 90° and then slide out the filter .
24 Servicing Before calling our Service Centr e, please check whether you can r ectify the fault yourself by following the instructions given below . Should this information be of no assistance to you in a specific case, please contact our Service Centre.
25 The dishwasher will not dr ain ● The drain hose may be squashed or bent Reposition the hose. ● The sink may be blocked. Clear any blockages. ● The drain hose extension is not corr ect. Follow the instructions for connecting to the waste. ● There is no vent in the end of the dr ain hose.
26 Customer service In the section “Servicing", we have listed the most important faults which you can rectify your self. Should you still wish to call our Service Centr e for any of the specif.
27 T echnical data Capacity 12 standard place settings including serving utensils. Allowable water pressur e 5-80 N/cm 2 (0,5-8 Bar = 0,05-0,8 MP a). Electrical connection Details of the electrical connection ar e given on the rating plate. It is located on the right inside edge of the door .
28 Installing P ositioning Set the machine up as close as possible to a water tap and a connection for waste water . In order to ensur e the door closes and seals pr operly , it is necessary for the machine to stand firmly and horizontally on the floor .
29 Proceed as follows: Remove the machine’s worktop by unscr ewing the two rear retaining scr ews, pull from the fr ont and slide out the slots, lifting the worktop. Insert the machine after adjusting the level with the adjustable feet. When inserting the machine, ensur e that the water inlet and drain hoses ar e not kinked or squashed.
30 Minimum water pressur e: 0,5 bar (5 N/cm2, 0,05 MP a). If your water pressur e is under 0,5 bar , please ask our service centr e for advice. Maximum allowable water pressur e: 8 bar (80 N/cm2, 0,8 MP a). For a water pressur e over 8 bar , a pressur e-r educing valve (obtainable fr om your specialist retailer) must be fitted upstr eam.
31 Extension hoses The necessary extension hoses can be obtained fr om specialist shops or from our technical assistance centr es. The extension hose must be no longer than 2 metr es and its internal diameter must be no smaller than the diameter of the hose pr ovided.
