2 How to Use This Manual Thank you for purchasing a Canon pro jector . The WUX6000 Multimedia Projector (hereinaf ter referred to as “the projector”) is a high-perform ance projector that is cap able of projecting a high-resolution computer screen an d high-quality digit al image on a large screen.

28 Supplied Accessories Check that the following accessories have been supplied with the projector . • Remote control • Batteries for the remote control (AAA size x2) (part No.: RS-RC04) Optional remote controls are also available (RS-RC05). However , some buttons are not supported with this projector .

Part Names 32 Remote control The projector can be operated u sing buttons on the remote control or the side control on the main unit. The remote control allows you to operate all funct ions of the projector . (1) POWER button ( P38 , P60 ) T urns the projector on or off.

S t ep 3 Adjust the Image 44 Focusing, Resizing, or Moving the Image Adjusting Image Focus T o adjust the focus, press the FOCUS button on the remote control or the LENS button on the projector . 45 S t ep 3 Adjust the Image Operation Projecting an Image Adjusting Image Size The size of the projected image can be adjusted by pressing the ZOOM button o n the remote control or the LENS button o n the projector . Change the projector installation position if your desired image is too la rge or too small to adjust it with the zoom function.
S t ep 3 Adjust the Image 46 Adjusting the Image Position T o adjust the screen position up, down , left, or rig ht, press the LENS-SHIFT button on the remote control or t he LENS button on the projector . It can change the projected screen to the most suitable posi tion by moving the position of the lens up/ down/lef t/right.
47 S t ep 3 Adjust the Image Operation Projecting an Image ■ Resetting the Position The lens position af ter movement with the lens shift function is no t returned when the power is turned of f. T o return it to its original position, perform reset.
48 St e p 4 Select an Aspect Ratio (Scr een Aspect) Matching the Screen Select an optimum aspect ratio of the projected image (screen aspect) or an optimum screen mode (aspect) according to t he aspect ratio of the screen, type of input image signal and so on for the projection to make best use of the screen size.

53 S t ep 4 Select an Aspect Ratio (Screen Aspect) Matching the Screen Operation Projecting an Image 4:3 The image is projected using an input signal aspect ratio of 4:3. Select this if an image of 4:3 aspect ratio canno t be correctly projected in [Auto] mode.
54 Ste p 5 Correct the Image Distortion Adjusting Keystone Distortion T o correct keystone distortion, press the D.SHIFT/KEYST ONE button. Use the remote control to correct keystone d istortion. T w o types of correction are available: horizontal/vertical correction and corn er correction.
55 S t ep 5 Correct the Image Distortion Operation Projecting an Image 2 Press the pointer buttons to adjust the dimensions. 3 When keystone distortion has been corrected, press the OK butto n. ■ Corner Adjustment 1 Press the D.SHIFT/KEYSTONE button on the remote control to display the corner adjustment window .

57 Operation Projecting an Image Ste p 6 Select the Image Quality (Image Mode) Y ou can select an image mode to suit the projected image. In each image mode, you can further adjust the b rightness, contrast, sharpness, gamma, color adjustment, advanced adjustment, and lamp mode.
S t ep 6 Select the Imag e Quality (Image Mode) 58 ■ Selecting an Image Mode Press the IMAGE button on the remote control to select. The image mode changes each time the IMAGE button is pressed. (The displayed image modes vary depending on the selected input signal.
59 Operation Projecting an Image Ste p 7 Set Power-Saving Settings Next, complete power-saving settings as n eeded. The following four settings are availa ble. For details, r efer to the p age describing each function. • Lamp Mode ( P95 ) Adjust lamp and fan power consumption in the image mode.
60 Ste p 8 T u rn the Projector Off 1 Press the POWER button to display the window shown below . 2 When this window is displayed, press the POWER button again to turn off the power . After you turn the power of f, the projector will enter standby mode once it cools down.

62 Useful Present ation Functions T emporarily Blacking Out an Image Useful when : • Y ou have finished the present ation. • Y ou want to divert attendees’ a ttention from the sc reen. Press the BLANK button to black out the image. Press the BLANK button again to show the image.

Menu items [System settings] t ab Y ou can set the operation of the projector . [Network settings] t ab These settings are for when using the projector from a PC via a network.

92 Adjusting Image Quality (Image Adjustment) Correcting Memory Color > [Image adjustment] > [Advanced adjustment] > [Mem. color correct] Enhances skin tones, blue skies, and greens, so that these colors are more consistent with people’ s remembered impressions.
