Operating Instructions 7 Safety of Children and Infirm P ersons • P ackaging materials (e.g. films, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. Risk of suffocat ion! K eep pa ckaging away from childr en. • The appliance is not intendet for us e by young children or infirm per- sons without supervision.
Operating Instructions 8 • The glass in the door becomes hot in the case of wash progr ammes with high temper atures. Do not touch ! • Allow the washing solution to cool befor e carrying out an emergency emptying operation or cleaning the dr ain pump.
Operating Instructions 9 2 Envir onmental tips • A pre-wash cycle is not necessary in the case of washing which is not excessively dirt. This saves detergent, water and time (and is gentle on the environment.) • If the indicated load capacities ar e taken full advantage of, the wash- ing machine is especially efficient.

Operating Instructions 11 Contr ol panel Pr ogram Selector The progr am selector determines the type of washing cycle (e. g. water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) ac- cording to the type of garments being washed, and also the washing solution.
Operating Instructions 12 EASY -CARES Main washing cycle for easy-care text iles (mixed fabrics) at 40 °C to 60 °C. EASY IRON position: Main washing cy cle at 40 °C for easy-care textiles which, with the aid of this progr am, only have to be either gently ironed or not ir oned at all.
Operating Instructions 13 Additional Pr ogram Buttons The additional progr am buttons are for adapting the washing progr am to the dirtiness of the wash- ing. Additional progr ams are not r equir ed for washing which is not excessively dirty . Va rious functions can be combined with each other , depending on the program.
Operating Instructions 14 Consumption V alues The values for selected progr ams in the following tables were deter- mined under normal conditions. However , ther e is a helpful orientation aid for domestic operation. What does "UPDA TE“ mean? Y our washing machine's washing progr ams are contr olled by software.
Operating Instructions 15 Befor e the First W ash 0 Carry out a washing ope ration wi thout washing ( COTT ONS 95 °C, with half the quantity of washing powder / liquid). This removes r esidues left over from pr oduction on the drum and solu- tion container .

Operating Instructions 18 Run a W ashing Cycle Brief Instructions A washing cycle is run in the following steps: 0 1. Set the correct washing pr ogram: – Set the progr am and temperatur e with the progr am selector – Set any additional progr am(s) 2.
Operating Instructions 19 Setting the Washing Pr ogr am 3 For the suitable progr am, the correc t temper ature and possible addi- tional progr ams for the particular wa shing type, r efer to the "Progr am tables". 0 1. Set the progr am selector to the requir ed washing progr am with the requir ed temper ature.
Operating Instructions 20 Changing the spin speed /Selecting the rinse hold function If requir ed, change the spin speed for the final spin/select rinse hold: Changing the spin speed 0 Continue pr essing the sp in speed/RINSE HOLD but- ton until the indicator for the desired spin speed is illuminated.

Open the washing detergent dr awer: grip inside the flap on the drawer at the bottom (1) and pull out the drawer as far as it will go (2).
Operating Instructions 24 Start the W ashing Progr am 0 1. Check that the water valve is open. 2. Start the washing progr am: Press the button START / PAUSE.
Operating Instructions 25 Completion of the Washing Pr ogr am Progr am sequence disp lay Before the start, the pr ogram steps to be carried out are indicated by the Pr ogram sequence display . The current pr ogram step is displayed during the washing progr am.

Filter in scr ew connection of the intake hose is blocked. Close the water ta p. Unscrew the hose from the wat er tap, remove the filter and clean it under running wate r .
Operating Instructions 34 Water runs out under the washing machine. The scr ew connection on the intake hose is leaky . Tighten the intake hose screw connection. The drainage hose is leaky . Check the dr ainage hose and replace it if necessary . The washing solutio n pump cover is not correctly closed.

Operating Instructions 37 Carrying out emer gency drainage • If the washing machine no longer pumps off the washing solution, emergency dr ainage must be performed. • If the washing machine is in a room wh ere ther e is a risk of fr ost, emergency dr ainage must be perfor med if there is a possibility of frost.
Operating Instructions 38 When the water is completely drained: 6. Push the plug secur ely into the em ergency dr ainage hose and turn it clockwise to secure it. 7. Replace the emergency dr ainage hose in its holder . 8. Put on the flap and close. Dr ain pump The drain pump is maintenance free.
Operating Instructions 39 5. Replace the pump cover . Laterally insert the webs on the cover into the guide slots and screw on the cover in a clock- wise direction. 6. Close the emergency emptying hose and place it in the holder . 7. Close the flap. Additional Rinse (RINSE+) The washing machine is set for ex tremely economical water consump- tion.
Operating Instructions 40 Child Safety Featur e If the child safety featur e is set, the filling door can no longer be closed and no washing program can be started.
