3 ENGLISH CONNECTIONS PREP ARA TIONS Before connecting the AC cord The rated voltage of your unit shown on the rear panel is 120 V AC. Check that the rated voltage matches your local voltage. IMPORT ANT • Connect the speakers, antennas, and all optional equipment first.

7 ENGLISH PRESETTING ST A TIONS 0-9, +10 1 MUL TI JOG d DIR/ PRESET 2 s 1 BAND The unit can store a total of 32 preset stations (Each band has a maximum of 16 available preset stations). When a station is stored, a preset number is assigned to the station.

9 ENGLISH • During “REPEA T ALL” play , random play can be performed. • When you start random play during “REPEA T 1” play , the repeat play will be canceled. • T o repeat only selected tracks, program the desired tracks (see below) before choosing “REPEA T ALL” function.

The programmed edit recording will not start from a point halfway in the tape.

15 ENGLISH SETTING THE TIMER MUL TI JOG 6 1, 2, 3, 4 1 2, 3, 4 The unit can be turned on at a specified time every day with the built-in timer . Preparation Make sure the clock is set correctly . (See page 14). 1 Press JOG MODE repeatedly until “ ” is displayed, then turn MUL TI JOG within 2 seconds until “ 5 ” appears on the display .
En ENGLISH 16 CLOCK AND TIMER OPTICAL OUT JACK This unit can output CD digital sound signals through this jack. Use an optical cable to connect digital audio equipment (digital amplifier , DA T deck, MD recorder , etc.). Remove the dust cap a from OPTICAL OUT jack.
17 ENGLISH CARE AND MAINTENANCE Occasional care and maintenance of the unit and the software are needed to optimize the performance of your unit. T o clean the cabinet Use a soft and dry cloth. If the surfaces are extremely dirty , use a soft cloth lightly moistened with mild detergent solution.
