Setting Up Your Creative Prodikeys PC-MIDI 3-1 Setting Up Y our Cr eativ e Pr odik e ys PC-MIDI Installing Hardwar e 1. Before setting up your Prodikeys PC -MIDI, turn off your computer and disconnect your existing keyboard. 2. Connect your Prodikeys PC -MIDI to your computer’s USB port (see Figure 3-1).

Getting Started 4-1 Getting Star ted Launching Pr odike ys PC-MIDI applications Y our Prodikeys PC-MIDI comes with applicat ions that enable y ou to learn how to play music or create fun mixes. Y ou can launch the included applications using Prodikeys Launcher .
Getting Started 4-2 1. Press the Music button on your Prodikeys PC -MIDI keyboard, or go to Start → Programs → Creative → Creative Prodikeys PC-MIDI . Prodikeys Launcher appears. 2. Select a program to launch. Double-c lick an application icon. Refer to the following sections to find out what each application does.
Getting Started 4-3 Mini K e yboard Creative Mini K eyboard gives you access to an extensive collection of instruments to experiment and play with. Y ou can pl ay anything from the accordion to the xylophone, and have hours of creativ e fun! For more help on individual applications, click the Help button in the application you would like help on.
Getting Started 4-4 FunMix Creative FunMix comes with a libr ary of pre-arr anged mixes, in v arious genres, assigned to music keys. Y ou can experiment with the instrumental loops and effects and record your own music easily .
Getting Started 4-5 EasyNotes Creative EasyNotes lets you learn to pla y any song at your own pace. T o start a lesson, select a song and lesson from the menus, and then press the SP ACEBAR.
Getting Started 4-6 HotK e ys Manag er HotK eys Manager lets you customize the diff ere nt ho t key s on yo ur ke yboa rd. Select a button and assign your fav orite application, website or keystroke to it. Y ou can also customize the music keys as ho t keys when you are not using them to play music.
