1 MAN#650336 MCL-30K-TCH Thank y ou for purchas ing the Dakota Digital MCL-30K-TCH gauge for y our Harley Davidson Touring bike. T his kit is designed to be a replacement f or all touring models, from 1996 – 2003. This is part of a six gauge pack age for touring models s o y ou can add additional g auges as you choose.
2 MAN#650336 ROAD GLIDE FLTR You w ill need to remove the speedom eter and tachometer ins trument bezel. To do this, rem ove two small screws on the left and right side of the bezel.
3 MAN#650336 WIRING First locate your tachometer connec tor in the factory w iring harness that were unplugged from the original tach gauge. The wires needed for the Dak ota Digital tachometer should all be found here. T he factory connector can be cut off or the new wi res can be spliced into the harness.
4 MAN#650336 FUNCT ION SWIT CH If an MCL-30K-SPD gauge is installed, then the factory speedometer push button switch is used as the m ain function switch, otherwise a push button switch should be connected and mounted to allow access to all of the gauge features.
