PAGE 4 OF16 I nstallation Good ventilation is essential for the safe op era tion of the stove. Do not install the st ove in a room below ground level unless it is open to gro u nd level on at least one side.
PAGE 5 OF16 Gas installation The necessary installation including gas and electrical connections m us t be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with curr ent and local r egulations, since an installation by an unqualified person m a y constitute a hazard.

PAGE 7 OF16 Lighting th e burners on the hob 1. Lift the tempered glass lid. 2. Press the relevant burner knob, turning it to the left and to t he high flame position, Light a match (or use an electronic spark igniter) and hold i t close to the burner outlets.
PAGE 8 OF16 Cleaning and maintenance Gas Jet Cleani ng Proc edure • Every six months the gas jets on your hob should be c l eaned to ensure continued ef ficient and safe operation. • This may be done using a Gas Jet Cleaning Kit which m a y be pur- chased from your nearest Defy Service Centre.
