NOTE: This manual is a general manual. Information in this manual may or may not pertain to your model. Please read car efully . NOTE: Left and right describes the location of a part with the operator facing the outlet panel. REMOVE GENERA TOR FROM CARTON • Open carton from top.
• (if equipped) Remove shipping shims. See Figure 1a. a. Locate shipping shims (a) under generator frame. b. Loosen but do not remove limiter bolts (b). c. Pull label (c) and remove shims. d. Retighten limiter bolts. T orque to 120-144 in-lbs. It is very important that these are r emoved before starting your generator .
10- ENG D26563 FOR GBE4010 AND GBFE6010 5. Remove the nut fr om the solenoid post with the panel assembly wire harness. Place one end of the posi- tive (red) battery cable onto this post with the panel assembly wire. Reassemble nut and tighten securely .
11- ENG D26563 EXTENSION CORDS When using an appliance or tool at a considerable distance from the generator , a 3-wire extension cor d that has a 3-blade grounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle that accepts the tool's plug MUST be used in or der to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
