Thank you for purchasing the DURACRAFT ® MODEL DH-831 Natural Cool Moisture ™ HUMIDIFIER with removable water tank. Before using your humidifier , we would like to explain the benefits of maintaining your home or office at the proper humidity level.
• Select a firm, level, flat location — at least six inches (15 cm) from any wall for proper air flow and convenient to an elec- trical outlet. • Place the humidifier on a water-resistant surface, as water can damage fur- niture and some flooring.
OPERA TION • Position the Upper Motor Housing back into the Reser voir Base. • Position the W ater T ank back into the humidifier and secure into place. • Some water will empty into the Reser voir Base when the filled W ater T ank is properly positioned.
W e recommend that you clean the humidifier once a week, or more often if you: • have hard water , • notice a build-up of impurities, or • detect unpleasant odors.
CLEANING cont. AFTER DISINFECTING... • Clean all surfaces of the Upper Motor Housing with a dr y , soft cloth. DO NOT USE W A TER TO CLEAN THE UPPER MOTOR HOUSING. THIS MA Y DAMAGE THE HUMIDIFIER OR CAUSE ELECTRIC SHOCK. • If you have hard water you may need to clean or change the filter more often.
