7 SECTI ON 3. OPE R A TION C AR D R E AD A card may be swiped past the read head at an y time. The magnetic stripe must face towa rd the head and may be swiped in either direction. If there is data encoded on the card, the device will attempt to decode the data and then send the results to the host via a USB HID input report.

Section 4. USB Communications 15 RESUL T CODE This one-b yte field cont ai ns the value o f the resul t code. Th ere are two t yp es of result cod es: generic result codes and command-specifi c result codes. Generic r esult cod es alwa ys have the most significant bit set to zero.

Description: The value is an ASCII string that represents the dev ice’s serial number.
USB IntelliHead S wipe Reader 18 rate decreases the USB bus bandwid th used by the device. This propert y is stored in no n-volatile EEPROM memory so it will not c hange w hen the unit is power cycled. The val ue of this propert y, if an y, will be sent to the host when the host requests th e device’s U SB endpoi nt desc riptor.

1 FEATURES The LD9000 family of pole displays offers a wide range of high quality features and models to choice from. Listed below are the features incorporated into each pole display. Not all features are available in all models. The model identification chart will assist you in selecting the model best suited to your needs.

3 INSTALLATION Your PD9000 family of pole displays has been pre-assembled to make the installation as simple as possible. Serial Interface Non-pass-thru Models Installation 1. Mount the pole display to the metal base plate using the mounting hardware provided.

10 SOFTWARE COMMANDS Logic Controls pole displays are controlled by command codes and data from the computer. The model of pole display that you have will determine which command set works with your pole. Refer to the model identification chart for further information.
