This will ensur e that the cable is not damaged by heat from the cookt op. Check that the power supply cable is not acc essible via cupboard doors or drawers .

15 The cooking zones become red when turned on full . Whenever a cooking zone is turned on, the ‘Cooking zone On ’ indicator light will glow. When a cooking zone is turned off , the ‘Hot sur face ’ indicator light will glow until the glass becomes cool enough to be saf ely touched.
16 Cooking guidelines Cookware Use heavy-gauge, flat, smooth-based cookware that matches the diameter of the cooking zone. This will provide good c ontact with the glass and help reduce cooking times. L ow heat or slow cooking is often due to incorrect cookware size.
17 Cooking guidelines Impor tant! Never leave the applianc e unattended when in use. Boilover c auses smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. T ake care when deep-fr ying : oil or fat can o verheat very quickly , particularly on a high setting.
