MR810 Technical Manual Revision C REF 185042601 9 3 3 O PERATION AND C ONTROLS 3.1 A PPLICATION The MR810 R espiratory Hu midifier is de signed t o heat and humidify res piratory gases delivered to t he patient via a face, nasal, or oral mask. The in sp ired gas is passed through the chamber of water where it is heated and hu midified.

MR810 Technical Manual Revision C REF 185042601 13 3 3.5 O PERATION The MR810 h umidifier has two modes of operation: (a) heater- wire mode and ( b) non heater- wire mode. 3.5.1 H EATER -W IRE M ODE Connecting a heated wire brea thin g circuit (between 10 and 28 Ω ) to the MR810 will automatically initiate the heater-wire mode of c ontrol.

Pressing the Temperature Sett ing button disp lays the error code on t he Temperature Setting Indicators, as e xplained i n Table 3.

24 MR810 Technical Manual Rev C REF 185042601 6 6.5.4 R EPLACING THE H EATER P LATE T HERMISTOR If the device has shown a the rmistor fault, the resi stance of the therm istor(s) ca n be checked at known temperatures against the resistance-tem perature table (Table 8 below).

If other cables are used ensure that they are fitted with ferrules to prevent loose wire strands.
