2 Safety and warnings W ARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard If the ceramic glass cooktop surface becomes crack ed, switch the appliance off at the mains pow er supply and call an Authorised Service Agent. Alway s disconnect the cooker from the mains electricity supply before carrying out any maintenance operations or r epairs.
3 Electrical This cooker is to be installed and c onnected to the electricit y supply only by an authorised person. If the installation requires alterations to the domestic electrical system, call a qu alified electrician. The electrician should also check that the elec trical system is suitable for the electricity drawn by the cooker .
4 Operation Y our freestanding cooker has been car efully designed to operate safely during normal c ooking procedures . Please keep the following guidelines in mind when you ar e using it: Safety and warnings W ARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard Switch the cook er off at the wall before replacing fuses or the o ven lamp .
5 Safety and warnings Impor tant safet y instruc tions Never leave the applianc e unattended when in use. Boilover c auses smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. Isolating switch: make sure this c ooker is connected to a circuit which incorpor ates an isolating switch providing full disconnection from the power supply .
6 Dimensions and clearances The cooker must be installed no less than 50 mm awa y from any side walls which ex ceed the height of the cooktop . The cabinetry surrounding the cooker must be made of heat-resistant material and must be able to withstand temperatures of 65 °C abov e room temperature .

T o connect the power supply cable to the cooker , it is necessary to: 1 Unhook the terminal board co ver by inserting a screwdriver into the two hooks ‘ A ’ (fig.
11 Installation instructions F eeder cable section In Australia and New Zealand: this c ooker must be connected to electrical supply using V105 insulated cable. In United Kingdom and Ireland: this cooker m ust be connected to electrical supply using H05RR-F or H05VV -F insulated cable.

16 Using y our ov en 1 Select the func tion by turning the function dial. The oven lights will come on. 2 Select the temperature by turning the temperature contr ol dial clockwise.
17 OVEN LAMP Only the oven light comes on. It remains on in all the cooking functions. BAKE The upper and lower heating elements c ome on. BAKE is the traditional method of cooking. It is best to cook on only one shelf at a time in this function. Ideal for large cakes and dishes that bake for several hours .
18 Cooking functions Notes on baking: Preheat the o ven before baking. Do not place anything , including water or ice, on the oven floor . Remove the fat filter bef ore baking. Use the fat filter when roasting meat and poultry on F AN BAKE, F AN GRILL or F AN FORCED.

20 Using the electronic timer Y ou can use the timer at any time , even when the oven is not in use . Impor tant! The timer does NO T turn the oven off . T o set the timer 1 Press . 0 • 00 will show and the symbol will star t flashing. 2 Press and to set the time you want (up to 23 hours and 59 minutes, in 1-minute steps).
21 Aut omatic cooking T o set the oven for aut omatic cooking 1 Set the oven: Check the clock shows the corr ect time (eg 12:07). Select the func tion and set the temperature. The oven will turn on. 2 Set the cooking time: Decide how long the food will take to c ook, allowing time for preheating if nec essar y (eg 40 minutes).

23 Induc tion cooktop intr oduc tion Cooking zones display The ceramic cooktop is fitt ed with induction cook ing zones. These circular zones ar e controlled by separate dials positioned on the control panel below . At the front, is the display f or the cooking zones (one for each zone).
24 Choosing the right cookware 1 1 3 2 Impor tant! Only use cookware with a base suitable for induction cooking . Look for the induction symbol on the packaging or the bottom of the pan. Y ou can check whether your cookware is suitable by c arrying out a magnet test.
25 Choosing the right cookware Impor tant! the cooking zones will not operate if the pan diameter is too small ( will appear on the cooking zone display). T o correctly use the cooking zones follow the indic ations given in the following table. Note: some types of pans can cause noise when used on an induction cooking zone.
26 Using y our induction cooktop Control dials Each cooking zone is activated by a separate control dial positioned on the contr ol panel. The functions are arranged on the actual dial itself.
27 Using y our cooktop ’ s special featur es Using the Aut o Heat-reduce f eature This feature is available on all the c ooking zones T urn the control dial anti-clock wise to the ‘ A’ setting and then release the dial (after the ‘ beep ’); the symbol lights up on the corresponding cooking zone display .
28 Using y our cooktop ’ s special featur es Maximum usable power f or the cooking zones The right and left cooking zones are controlled by two separate power boar ds and the maximum total power per each power board is 3700 W .
29 Heat settings The settings below are guidelines only . The exact setting will depend on several factors, including your cookware and the amount you ar e cooking.
30 Impor tant! Before you start cleaning your cooker , please: Read these cleaning instructions and the ‘Safet y and warnings’ section at the start of this user guide. T urn the cooker off at the w all. Make sure the c ooker is a safe temperature to touch.
31 Car e and cleaning Caring for y our cooktop Impor tant! Some heavy- duty and nylon scourers can scratch the c eramic glass of your cooktop . Always read the label to check if your scourer is suitable for cleaning c eramic glass cooktops. Use ceramic glass cleaner on the c ooktop while it is warm to touch.
32 Cleaning the inside of your ov en Do not use abrasive cleaners, cloths or pads to clean the enamel . T o make cleaning easier , you can remove the side racks , the oven door , and the fat filter . Drop-down grill element T o lower the grill element: use a flat-head scr ewdriver or a small coin to loosen the element fixing screws.
33 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the enamel cavity Clean the enamel on the inside of the oven when it has cooled do wn, using household detergents or an ammonia-based cleaner . Y ou may use ‘ off the shelf ’ oven cleaners, if you carefully follo w the manufacturers’ instructions.
34 Fitting and r emoving the sliding shelf supports When fitting the sliding shelf supports, make sure that you fit: the side racks first the slides to the top wire of a shelf position both sides of each pair of slides both slides on the same level. Impor tant! Remove the side r acks first to make removing the sliding shelf supports easier .
35 Car e and cleaning Storage compartment The storage compartment is accessible through the piv oting panel (Fig .31). Impor tant! 36 Car e and cleaning Removing and replacing the inner door glass pane f or cleaning If you wish to clean the inner glass of the door , make sure you follo w the precautions and instructions ver y carefully . Replacing the glass pane and the door incorrectly may result in damage to the appliance and may void your warranty .
37 Car e and cleaning Removing the ov en door The oven door can easily be r emoved as follows: Open the door to the full extent (fig. 33a). Open the lever ‘ A ’ completely on the left and right hinges (fig. 33b). Hold the door as shown in fig. 33e .
38 Car e and cleaning Removing the inner pane of glass The oven door is fitt ed with two glass panes: T o clean all panes on both sides it is necessary to remove the inner pane as f ollows: Remove the inner glass r etainer 1 Remove the ov en door and place it on a soft sur face.

40 After cleaning, r eplace the inner glass pane When replacing the inner glass pane, make sur e that: Y ou replace the pane c orrectly, as sho wn. The pane must be in the position described below in order to fit into the door and to ensur e that the appliance operates safely and corr ectly.
