3 I ntr oduc tion This User Guide explains how to operate and maintain your new appliance pr operly and safely . Please read the whole guide car efully before starting to use your oven. Impor tant! It is impor tant that the User Guide should be retained with the applianc e for future refer ence.
4 Saf et y and warnings This symbol alerts you to hazards such as fire , electrical shock , or other poten tial injuries. It also warns you of things that ma y cause damage to your ov en. General safety precautions Read all the instructions before using the ov en.
5 Do not install or use a damaged appliance. If you receiv e a damaged product, contac t your dealer or installer immediately . Children or persons with a disability that may limit their ability to use the appliance should have a competent person instruct them in its use.

7 Setting the clock As your ov en is connected to a power supply for the first time , a tone will sound and the clock display will light up. The clock display will show ‘0:00’ and the colon ( : ) will flash. Next, set the clock. Clock must be set befor e oven can be operated T o set the clock The oven clock has a default 24 hour display .
8 O ven displa ys Oven mode dial & display T urn clock wise to select your desired ov en mode. When the mode is set, the lights and cooling fan will come on. T emperature dial & display T urn clock wise to select the oven temperatur e you want to cook at.
9 O ven modes Y our Fisher & P ayk el Aer o T ech™ oven has nine cook ing modes plus Warm and Self Clean. These modes use different combinations of elements and the con vection fan to give you maximum flexibility when cook ing. T rueAero: convection fan plus fan element T rueAero is a v er y flexible method of cooking.
10 Wa r m W arm is a constant low heat of 165°F (75°C ). It is excellent for keeping cooked food hot and warming plates and serving dishes. T o reheat food fr om cold; use T rueAero and change t o W ar m when the f ood is hot, as this mode will not bring cold food up to a t emperature high enough to kill any harmful bac teria.
11 Self Clean This oven featur es a pyrolytic self-cleaning c ycle that takes care of the mess and grime that is traditionally associated with oven cleaning . During self clean cycles the oven reaches higher temperatures than it does f or cooking and this burns off and breaks down soil and grease deposits .
12 Shelf positions Optilevel™ The Optilevel™ shelving system allows you to choose the optimum cooking level within the oven. Placing the shelves on or between the shelf support runners provides 13 cooking positions to choose from. Organize the shelves prior to heating the o ven.
13 Accessories Broiling syst em The Broiling system is designed t o prevent hot fat and juices in the broil pan splattering throughout the oven. It is intended to be used as one complete unit, however pieces can be interchanged. Glass tray (OS302M, OD302M Iridium models only) This is made of extremely tough glass and is per f ect oven to tableware.
14 Using the oven contr ols In double ovens select the cavit y which oven y ou want by using the appropriate oven mode and temperature dials. P ushing the oven cavity selector button lets you toggle between the cavities, f or example if you are setting Automatic / Delay ed star t programs .
15 T o set automatic/delayed time c ook ing 1 Check that the clock shows the correct time. 2 Select the oven mode and temperature. 3 Choose the upper or lower cavity (for double ovens only) using the oven cavity selector button. 4 Decide how long the food will take to cook, allowing time for preheating if necessary.
16 T o cancel automatic/delay ed time T urn the oven mode and temperature dials to ‘OFF’ . After eight seconds the clock display will revert to the time of day and the oven will return to manual operation. Avoid using f oods that will spoil while waiting for the cooking cycle to begin.
17 O ven operation Cooking probe Use your cooking probe to accurately judge when your meat is perfectly cook ed. The probe can be used on T rueAero , AeroBake, Roast, AeroBr oil and Bake modes. Using the cooking probe 1 Select the oven mode and temperature and preheat the oven if appr opriate - Roast does not require pr eheating.
18 Return the oven to manual mode by pressing the button. Turn the oven mode and temperature dials to ‘OFF’ . The cooking probe can be used with automatic cooking func tions. If the probe reaches the set temperature bef ore the stop time is reached the pr obe will turn the oven off.
19 Thick pieces of meat take longer to cook than thin pieces of the same weight. Meat cooks by absorbing heat from the outer surface to the middle. The thicker the meat the longer it will take to cook . Roasts containing bones cook more quickly than boneless or rolled roasts due to the bone conducting heat throughout the meat.
20 Tips f or successful broiling F or best results allow the broiler t o warm up for a minute or two befor e putting food in the oven. Use the timer to time the broiling pr ocess if desired. All Broiling is carried out with the oven door closed. We r ecommend using the Broiling system provided with y our Aero T ech™ oven.
21 Dehy drating/defrosting Tips f or dehydr ating T o obtain a high quality dried product, selec t only unblemished, matur e fruit. W ash fruit thoroughly and pat dr y , peel if desired. Unpeeled fruit will take longer to dr y . Remove stones, stems or pips if necessary.
22 User select options All about user select mode User Select mode allows you to configure some of the settings displayed on y our Aero T ech™ oven control panel .
23 Tips f or using Sabbath Mode In double oven models, different t emperatures can be selected for upper and lower ovens by using their temperature dials.
24 How to change fr om 24 hour to 12 hour time display 1 Enter the User Select mode and turn the oven mode dial clockwise until appears in the display . 2 Pre ss to select either ‘24H’ or ‘12H’ in the clock display . 3 Pr ess the button to activate.
25 Control panel lock Locking the controls disables all the buttons and dials which can be useful when cleaning oven surfaces or preventing accidental bumps and unauthorized use. The control panel can only be locked when the oven is off. T o lock the control panel Pr ess the button and hold down for five seconds .

33 Roast & Cooking probe We r ecommend you use the Cooking Probe t o accurately judge when meat is cooked to your prefer ence. ‘ Time per pound (450g)’ is a rough guide and should only be used to estimate when the meat will be ready . Cook ing with Roast, T rueAero , AeroBake, and Aer oBroil will take less time than with Bake.
34 Cleaning Impor tant! Do not use harsh/abrasive cleaning agents, waxes , pumice cleaners, polishes or commercial ov en cleaners to clean your oven. Impor tant! If you choose to use a commercial stai.
35 Cleaning the porcelain enamelled surfaces The oven interior and inner door liners are por celain enamelled and are cleaned during the self clean cycle. Impor tant! DO NOT USE AN Y OVEN CLEANERS, OVEN CLEANING PRODUCTS OR ABRASIVES ON THE P orcelain enamel.
36 Self Clean mode All about the Self Clean mode This oven f eatures a pyrolytic self clean cycle. During a self clean cycle the oven reaches higher temperatures than it does f or cook ing and this burns off and breaks down soil and grease deposits . A smoke eliminator and active venting system remov es and breaks down the smoke, fumes and odors.
37 Using the Self Clean mode 1 Remove oven shelves, shelf supports (see ‘Cleaning’) and all other cookware/utensils from the oven befor e using the Self Clean mode.
38 Self Clean - delayed start Y our Aero T ech™ oven can be set t o star t a self clean cycle at your convenience: 1 Check the clock shows the correct time of day . 2 Select the Self Clean mode by turning the oven mode dial. 3 Select the maximum temperature using the temperature dial .
39 T rouble shooting Pr oblem P ossible Cause What to do Ove n do es n ot work P ower supply is not connected. Have service company/electrician check power connections, wiring and fuses. Clock is not set due to power cut or failure . Clock must be set before the ov en can be used.
40 Pr oblem P ossible Cause What to do Oven door wont open Oven is still in self- clean mode. Y our oven door will unlock when it has cooled to a safe t emperature. Oven light does not work Light bulb has blown. Replace light bulb . Refer to Maintenance for details.
41 Maintenance How to change the ov en light bulbs The oven is illuminated by thr ee 12 volt/20 watt halogen bulbs. These have a very long life, but if you should need to replace one , follow these steps: 1 T urn the oven off and allow it to cool.
42 Limited warranty When you purchase an y new Fisher & P aykel whiteware Product f or personal or consumer use you automatically receiv e a two year Limited W arrant y covering parts and labor for ser vicing within the 48 mainland United States, Hawaii, Washington D .
43 This warranty does not cover: A Ser vice calls that are not relat ed to any defect in the P roduct. The cost of a ser vice call will be charged if the problem is not f ound to be a defect of the Pr oduct. For example: 1. Correct faulty installation of the Product.
44 Commer cial use If you are using the P roduct in a commercial setting (any use other than a single family dwelling), we agr ee to repair or replace , without cost to you for parts only , any defective parts, the serial number of which appears on the Pr oduct.
