53 & 54 Ser ies II Users M anual 10 Changing the Logging Interval The logging interval det ermines how often th e thermometer stores logged rea dings in m emory. You choose the length of the logging interval. S ee "Us ing Memory. " The thermom eter stores logged readin gs at the en d of each loggin g interval.

The currently selected t hermoc ouple blink s. 3. Press K or N until the thermoc ouple yo u want appears on th e display .
53 & 54 Ser ies II Users M anual 12 Enabling or Disabling Sleep Mode The thermom eter enters sleep m ode if no button pr ess occurs for 20 minutes. Pressing any button wakes the therm ometer and ret urns it to its previ ous state. 1. Press K or N until the displ ay show s SLP .
53 & 54 Ser ies II Measuring T emperatur es 13 Changing the Line Frequency For optimum rejection of line nois e, set the th ermometer for the local line fre quency as follows: 1. Press K or N until the displ ay show s Li ne . 2. Press E to indicate tha t you want to change the line sett ing.

53 & 54 Ser ies II Using Memory 15 Using the Offset to Adjust for Probe Errors Use the offset option in Setup to ad just the therm ometer’ s readings to c ompensat e for the errors of a spec ific thermocoupl e. 1. Plug the thermocoupl e into the i nput connec tor.

The initial c onditions are the therm ocouple ty pe and the offsets for eac h thermoc ouple inpu t. You can on ly view initial con ditions using FlukeView Forms .
53 & 54 Ser ies II Using Memory 17 Clearing Memo ry When memory is full, FULL appears on the display and logging sto ps. You can c lear memory in normal or MI N MAX mode. • Press G , J (CLEAR MEMORY) to delete logged readi ngs from m emory. The display shows the follow ing for 2 s econds.
