10 8. F or an Ethernet connect ion, connect one end of the Ethernet (cros sover) cable , part number FC9660CB23, to the RJ -45 slot ti tled DA TA on the b ack of the DSL modem and connect the other en d o f the Ethernet cable to the network interface card in b a ck of the c o m puter .

14 2. Inside the residence , locate t he telephone RJ- 11 wall jack t hat is neare st to your PC and remove i t. Replace i t with a new dual RJ-1 1 wall plat e and connect the same col ored wires t hat are attac hed to the green and red scre ws on the DS L splitter d ata module to t he green and r ed p ins on the R J-11 wall jack .

16 5 P o wering the Modem W ARNING: When ins talling th e DSL m odem power supply un it, be s ure to first in s er t the power suppl y conne c tor into the rear of the DSL modem before plugging the unit into a powered 110V AC wal l outlet. T o apply power to the DSL modem, p e r for m the following steps: 1.
