5 M E N U S T R U C T U R E The menu system in t he Emperor L702B i s summarized in th e flow chart below. To move around the screens press the butt ons as shown on the flow chart. Where a line sel ection arrow is shown o n the left of a lin e, the ‘Inc’ an d ‘Dec’ buttons can be used to mov e the selection a rrow up or do wn.
6 B A T T E R Y M E M O R Y S C R E E N The battery me mory screen i s the main fu nctional screen fo r th is charger. It is used to store specific battery, ch arge, discharge an d safety parameters, as well as being used to initiate char ging, discharging, cy cling /store mode fun ctions.
7 L I T H I U M F U N C T I O N S A N D P A R A M E T E R S When a Lith ium type battery is selected, th e following functions an d parameters are available. The 2 nd and 3 rd pages (shown b elow) are accessed by moving the line selection down arrow off the bottom of the page.

10 C Y C L E The cycle mode allo ws the user to both ch arge and discharge a b attery a number of times, in order to bring it back to peak performance. Dependant on the final charge state requir ed, you have th e options t o discharge then charge (D>C) or char ge then d ischarge (C>D) th e pack.

13 In this example a ‘No rmal’ charge is selected and then t he ‘Enter’ bu tton is press ed for 2 seconds to start the charge. As shown in t he flow chart, pressing th e ‘Mode’ or ‘Esc’ butt ons at any stage mov es through t he different screens giving detail ed information ab out th e charge.
