Cookware Use of correct cookware can affect the cooking performance and cleaning of your cooktop. The correct cookware reduces the temperature of the glass ceramic surface and minimizes the chance of spillovers burning onto the surface units. Use pans with thick, flat, smooth bottoms.
CARE AND CLEANING Proper care and cleaning are important so your cooktop will give you efficient and satisfactory service. If soil, mineral deposits from evaporated water spills or metal rub-off from aluminum cookware is not removed it will burn on the surface and cause permanent discoloration.
Canning should be done on cooktop only. Pots that extend beyond 1 inch of surface unit’s edge are not recommended for most surface cooking. However, when canning with water-bath or pressure canner, large-diameter pots may be used.
