Press the UNLOCK button on the remote control transmitter . 1 Observe that the Status LED flashes twice, indicating that the system is out of the Valet mode .
10 © 2004 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Arming Arming Methods There are two possib le ways to arm the system: • MANU AL Ar ming (Remote Control) • A UTOMA TIC Arming (Passive) Manual Arming (Remote Controlled) 1 Make sure the arming mode is set to MANUAL.

12 © 2004 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Arming The system arms automatically 20 seconds after the last door or the tailgate is closed. Observe that: • The status LED flashes four times per second during the e xit dela y time, and once per 3 seconds after the system is armed.
© 2004 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. - All Rights Reserved. 13 Alarm Mode Alarm T riggered Mode • After the system is armed, opening of any door or the tailgate , or breaking of window glass will trigger the alar m. • If the door or tailgate is kept open, the alarm will contin ue to sound for 5 min utes.

If the system was tripped and automatically rearmed, obser ve that: • The horn sounds four times when the system is disarmed.
