Control panel features ! Wireless 5 6 7 8 9 1 On button and light: Tur ns the product on or off. When the pro duct is off, a minimal a mount of power is still used. To completely remove power, turn off the product, then unplug the power cord. 2 Cancel : Stops the current operation.

Printer settings tips • On the Paper/Quality ta b of the print driver, select the ap propriate pape r type and quality fro m the Media drop down menu. • Click the Advanced button, an d select the appropri ate Paper Size from the Paper/ Output drop-dow n menu.
Printing in maximum dpi takes longer than printi ng with other set tings and requires a la rge amount of di sk space. To print in Maximum dp i mode 1. Make sure you ha ve photo pa per loaded in t he input t r ay. 2. On the File menu in your software ap plication, cl ick Print .
4 Paper basics You can load many dif ferent types and sizes of paper in t he HP Printer, i ncluding lett er or A4 paper, p h oto paper, transparencies, and envelopes.
HP Brochure Pape r or HP Superior Ink jet Paper These papers are glossy-coated or matte-coat ed on both sides fo r two-sided use. They are the perf ect choice for near-ph otographic rep roductions and bu siness graphi cs for report covers, special presen tations, brochures, mailers, and calendars.

Load paper. ❑ Insert stack o f photo paper with short edge d own and print side up. ❑ Slide stack of pa per forward until i t stops. NOTE: If the photo pa per you are using has perforat e d tabs, loa d photo paper so that tabs are on t op.
Load envelope s a . Raise the inpu t tray ❑ Raise the inpu t tray. b . Lower the outp ut tray ❑ Lower the outp ut tray and pull out the tray extender.
❑ Remove all pape r from the main in put tray. d . Load envelopes. ❑ Insert on e or more envelo pes into far-righ t side of the inp ut tray. The side to be printed o n should face up. The flap sh ould be on the left side and facing down. ❑ Slide stack of e nvelopes do wn until it stops.

Order ink supplies Before ordering cart ridges, locat e the correct cartridge number. The cartridge n umber is printed on t he label of the cartridge. If an old cartridge is not available, you can fin.
Replace the cartridges To replace the cartri dges 1. Check po wer. 2. Load paper. 3. Remove cartridge. a . Open cartri dge door. Wait for print carriag e to move to center o f the product. b . Press down to rele ase cartridge, the n remove it from slo t.
4. Insert new cartridge. a . Remove cartridge f rom packaging. b . Remove plastic t ape using pink pull tab. c . Slide cartridge into slot until it clicks into place.

Clear a paper jam Clear a paper jam. To clear a paper jam 1. Press the cancel button to try to clear the j am automati cally. If t his does not work, th e paper jam wi ll need to be cleared manu ally. 2. Locate the paper jam Input tray If the paper jam i s located near the back i nput tray, pull the paper gentl y out of the input tray.
Inside of pr inter • If the p aper jam is locate d inside the pri nter, open the cl eanout door located on the bottom of the printer. Press tabs on both sides of the cleanout door. • Remove j ammed paper. • Close the cl eanout door. G ently push the do or towards the prin ter until b oth latches snap into place.
Unable to print Make sure that the printer is tu rned on and tha t there is paper in the tray. If you are still unable to pri nt, try the foll owing in or der: 1. Check for error messages and resolve. 2. Disconnect an d reconnect t he USB cabl e. 3. Verify that the product is not paused or offline.
