Setting Up the Monitor 4. Adjust the monitor as needed for your comfort using the monitor’ s tilt and swiv el adjustment capabilities. ✎ It is recommended that in order to maintain an er gonomic and comfortable vie wing position, the forward tilt angle of the monitor should not exceed 5 de grees.
Setting Up the Monito r ✎ The Self Image Setting Function provides you with optimal display settings. When the monitor is connected for the f irst time, this function automatically adjusts the display to optimal settings for indi vidual input signals.
Setting Up the Monitor Mountin g t h e Monitor The monitor panel can be mounted on a wall, a swing arm, or other mounting f ixture. 1. If the stand base is attached, follo w the procedure in “Removing the Stand Base” at the be ginning of this chapter .

4 O peratin g t he Monitor Soft w are an d Utiliti es The monitor includes a CD that contains two f iles you can install on your computer: ■ an .INF (Information) f ile ■ an .ICM (Image Color Matching) f ile Adobe Acrobat Reader is supp lied on this CD and can be installed from the menu.
Oper ating the Monitor work through separate BNC type connectors or through distrib ution buf fers/boxes. Y ou may need to install the .INF f ile if these conditions are not met. The Ima ge C ol or Ma tc hin g File The .ICM f ile provides accurate color representation.

Oper ating the Monitor Optimizin g Di gital Conv ersion This monitor contains adv anced circuitry that allo ws the flat panel screen to function like a standard monitor . T wo controls in the on-screen display can be adjusted to improv e image performance: Clock and Phase.
Oper ating the Monitor ■ Check Signal Cable— Indicates the signal cable is not properly connected to the computer . ■ OSD Locked—The OSD can be enabled or disabled b y pressing and holding the Menu b utton on the front panel for 5 seconds. If the OSD is locked, the w arning message OSD LOCKED displays for ten seconds.

T echni cal Spec ifi cations Recognizing Preset Disp l a y Resolutions The display resolutions listed belo w are the most commonly used modes and are set as factory def aults. This monitor automatically recognizes these preset modes and they will appear properly sized and centered on the screen.
T echnical S pec ificati ons Enterin g User Mod es The video controller signal may occasionally call for a mode that is not preset if: ■ Y ou are not using a standard graphics adapter . ■ Y ou are not using a preset mode. If this occurs, you may need to re adjust the parameters of the monitor screen by using the on-screen display .
T echni cal Spec ifi cations By selecting settings in the monitor’ s Energy Sa ver utility , you can also program the monitor to enter into the reduced po wer state at a predetermined time. When the monitor’ s Energy Sav er utility causes the monitor to enter the reduced po wer state, the Po wer light turns amber .
