4 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Never allow children to remain unattended near the cooktop nor to play with the control panel. • Particular attention should be paid to hot surface burners, grilles, vessels con ta i ning hot liquids.
5 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Some substances, e.g. sugar , citric acid, salt, etc., either solid or liquid, must not become in contact with hot surface of the cooktop. • Should any of the above substances spill over the cooktop, the appliance must not be turned of f.
6 Old appliances should not sim- ply be disposed of with normal h o u s e ho l d w a s t e , b u t s h o u l d be delivered to a collection and recycling centre for electric and electronic equipment. 11 1 2 3 4 PTCG4.1 INST ALLA TION Installationofthecooktop: • Prepare the work top cut-out as shown in the diagram (see g. 5). • Remember to maintain the minimum safety distances to combustible surfaces below the cooktop of 130 mm. • Fix the tape (included) to the cooktop edge at the bottom side of the appliance.

13 OPERA TION Please make sure you have read and understood the entire operating manual. Do follow the instructions to ensure safe and effective operation of your cooktop.
14 OPERA TION T able 2 Rep lac em ent of burne r noz zle : loos en the nozz le wit h a dedi cat ed wrench (7). Fit the new nozzle, suitable for the required gas type (see table above for reference). After you have converted the cooktop to another gas type, make sure you have placed a label containing that information on the appliance.
15 V alveadjustment V alve adjustment should be done with the control knob set at Burner ON saving ame po- sition. Remove the knob, and adjust the ame with a tiny screwdriver (see g. 7 below). Fig. 7 Checking the adjusted ame: heat the burner at full open position for 10 minutes.

Cleaning the plate after every use • Wipe off slight, not-burnt patches of dirt using damp cloth without cleaning agent. W ashing liquid can cause blue di sco lo ra- tion to appear on the plate.

22 TROUBLESHOOTING In each case, proceed as follows: • T urn the burners of f • Disconnect power supply • Report for repair • The user can x some minor malfunctions himself, according to the guidance given in the tables below . Please check the information below before contacting the service depart- ment.
