SETTING UP YOUR TREADMILL: PLACEMENT IN YOUR HOME T o make exer cise a desir able daily activity for yo u, the treadmill should be pl aced in a comfortable and convenie nt setting. Th is tr eadmill is designed to u se a minimal amount of floor spa ce and to fit nicely in y our home.
O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l 9 III. HANDLING YOUR TREADMILL: FOLDING THE TREADMILL Folding and unfolding of t his treadmill is made easy wi th the assist ance of gas shoc k. After the treadmill has com e to a complete stop, it is imp ortant to make sure the elevat ion is lowered all the way t o the lowest level before f olding the tr eadmill.

Flip this switch to th e “ON” position. SAFETY TETHER KEY AND CLIP The safety key is de signed to cut the main po wer to the t readmill should you fall.

12 O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l SPEED ADJUSTMENTS A single press of F AST and SLOW buttons will adj ust speed b y increments of 0.1 MPH (or Km /H) during workout…or you may pre ss and hold these butt ons to quickly scroll up or down.

If ST ART is press ed within three minute s during the pause mode, the treadm ill will bring the running belt movement back to the speed at which the treadmill was paused. W orkout values will resume counting and contin ue where it left off.

T readmill will activate at 1.0 Km/H (.6 m ph) after 3 seconds. Y ou may increase/decrea se speed or elevation at any time during your workout.

26 O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l walking at slow spee d. COOL DOWN NEVER stop exercising suddenly . A cool down period of about 5 minut es will allow your heart to re-adjust to the decreased dema nd. Use a lo w speed setting during the cool down to g radually lower your heart rate.
O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l 27 HOW HARD? How hard you work out is determined by your goal. Regardless of your fitness goals, always begin an exercise program at low int ensity . Aerobic exercise does not have to be pain ful to be benefici al ! There are two wa ys to measure you r exercise intensity .
28 O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l CLEANING Remove dust on the treadmill with va cuum or sl ightly damp cloth. Fo ld up the deck and clean the floor with vacuum periodica lly will he lp to prolong the treadmill product life. NEVER use solvents on the deck or runn ing belt.
O w n e r ’ s M a n u a l 29 adjustment on any treadm ill. T o eliminate this slipping, ten sion both Allen bolts on the rear rolle r 1/4 turn. T ry the treadmill again to check for slipping. Repeat if necessary , but NEVER turn the roller bolts more than 1/4 turn at a time.

In the event of electrical failure, the treadmill will shut off automatically t o prevent user injury and to prevent damage to ex pensive co mponents su ch as the mo tor .
