3 ICE MAKER SAFETY INSTALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Unpa ck the I ce Make r Removing Pack aging Materials Remove tape and glue fr om your ic e maker before us ing. ■ T o remov e any remaining tape or glue fr om the exterior of the ice maker , rub the ar ea b riskly wi th you r thumb .
4 Location Requirements ■ T o ensure proper ventilatio n for your ice maker , the front side must be complet ely unobst ructed. Th e unit may be closed-in on th e to p an d thr ee side s, bu t the inst alla tio n shou ld al low the ice maker to be pu lled forward for servicin g if necessary .
5 Leveling It is impo rtant for the ice maker to be level in orde r to work properly . Dependi ng upon where you install th e ice maker , you may need to make se veral adj ustm ents to le vel it . Y ou may also use t he level ing leg s to low er the h eight of the ice ma ker for under count er install ations.
6 REAR VIEW 8. Thread the nut onto th e coupling on the en d of the copper tubing. Tighten t he nut by hand . Then t ighten i t with a wr ench two mor e turns. Do not overtighten. NOTE : T o avoid ratt ling, be sure the copper tu bing does not touch t he cabinet ’ s side wal l or ot her par ts in side the cabin et.
7 2. Styl e 1 - Fo r gravit y drain system , push th e ice make r into position so tha t the ice maker drain tu be is posit ioned over the PVC dr ain reducer . See “ Gra vity Drain System ” earlier in this s ection. Style 2 - For drain pump sys tem connect the drain pump outle t hose to the drain .
8 Rever se Door Catch 1. Remove the hole plugs from t he opposite side of the door and set as ide. 2. Remove the sc rews fr om the magnetic door catch and replace it on the opp osite sid e of the door . 3. Push the h ole plugs into plac e on the opposit e side of the door .
9 Using the Controls 1. T o s tart the no rmal ice making cycle, select ON. 2. T o s top ice maker operation , select OFF . NOTE : ■ Pre ssing the ON/OFF switch doe s not sh ut of f power to the ice maker . ■ Allow 24 hou rs to produce the first bat ch of ice.
10 Condenser A dirty or clogged condenser: ■ Obstructs proper airflo w . ■ Reduces ice maki ng capacity . ■ Causes higher th an recommended operating temp eratures which may lead t o component fail ure. 1. Unplug ice maker or disconn ect power .
11 10. Remove, clean and replace the i ce scoop and ic e scoop holde r . ■ After re moving the ic e scoop, re move the hold er by r emovin g the two thu mb sc re ws. ■ W ash the ice scoop holder along with the other interior components us ing the foll owing instructi ons.

13 Grid is not cutting ice sheets ■ Is the cutter grid securely in place? Check the cutter gri d harn ess plug to make sure the connection is i ntact. See “ Interior Components ” section of “ Cleaning ” for instructions on cutter grid removal.
