8 Before Use Before operating the Foo d Processor , be sure the work bowl, blades, and work bowl cover are properly assembled on the F ood Processo r base (see “Preparing the F oo d P ro ce ss or fo r U se ” s ta rt in g o n p ag e 6 ). Cl ea ni ng the F ood Pr oc es so r 1. Press the ”O” Button. 2. Unplug the F ood Processo r before Cleaning. 3. Wipe the base and cord with a warm, sudsy cloth, and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Dry with a soft cloth . Do not use abrasive cleans ers or scouri ng pads.

13 F oo d Pr oc es si ng Ti ps USING THE MUL TIPURP OSE BLADE T o chop fresh fruits or vegeta bles: P ee l, c or e, a nd / o r r e m ov e s ee ds . Cut food in 1 to 1 1 ⁄ 2 -inch (2.5-3.75 cm) pieces. Process food to desired size, using short pulses, 1 to 2 seconds each time.
14 1. T o avoid damage to the blade or motor , do not process food that is so hard or firmly frozen that it cannot be pierced with the tip of a sharp knife. If a piece of hard food, such as a carrot, becomes wedged or stuck on the blade, stop the processor and remove the blade.
