8 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is switched off and the batter y cartr idge is remov ed bef ore adjusting or checking function on the tool. 9 5. If you lea ve the battery car tridge in the charger after the charging cycle is complete, the charger will s witch into its “ trickle charge (maintenance charge) ” mode which will last appro ximately 24 hours. 6. After charging, unplug the charger from the power source.
10 • Check the sound of cooling f an, vent on the charger and batter y , which can be sometime clogged with dust. • The cooling system is in order although no sound of cooling fa n comes out, if the yellow w ar ning light will not flash. • Alwa ys keep clean the v ent on charger and batter y f or cooling.
11 Switch action CA UTION: • Bef ore inser ting the batter y car tridge into the tool, alwa ys check to see that the s witch trigger actuates properly and retur ns to the “ OFF ” position when released. T o star t the tool, simply pull the switch trigger .
12 Speed change T o change the speed, first switch off the tool and then slide the speed change le ver to the “ II ” side f or high speed or “ I ” side f or low speed. Be sure that the speed change lev er is set to the correct position bef ore operation.

14 Adjustable depth r od The adjustable depth rod is used to drill holes of unif or m depth. Loosen the clamp screw , set to desired position, then tighten the clamp screw . OPERA TION CA UTION: • Alwa ys inser t the batter y cartr idge all the wa y until it locks in place .
15 • If the tool is operated continuously until the battery car tridge has discharged, allow the tool to rest f or 15 minutes bef ore proceeding with a fresh batter y . Drilling operation First, turn the adjusting r ing so that the pointer points to the marking.
