FUEL HANDLING English – 15 1153988-26 Re v .1 2011-03-30 Fuel Note! The machine is equipped with a two-stroke engine and must alwa ys be run using a mixture of petrol and two- stroke oil. It is impor tant to accurately measure the amount of oil to be mixed to ensure that the correct mixture is obtained.
FUEL HANDLING 16 – English 1153988-26 Re v .1 2011-03-30 Fuel safety • Nev er refuel the machine while the engine is running. • Make sure there is plenty of v entilation when refuelling or mixing fuel (petrol and 2-stroke oil). • Mov e the machine at least 3 m from the refuelling point before starting it.

Activate the brake b y moving the front hand guard forw ards. (23) Air purge: Press the air purge repeatedly until fuel begins to fill the bulb .
WORKING TECHNIQUES 18 – English 1153988-26 Re v .1 2011-03-30 Bef ore use: (35) 1 Check that the chain brak e works correctly and is not damaged. 2 Check that the rear right hand guard is not damaged. 3 Check that the throttle loc kout works correctly and is not damaged.

Remov e the cut pieces to keep your working area safe . 4 Never use the chain sa w above shoulder height and try not to cut with the tip of the bar .
WORKING TECHNIQUES 20 – English 1153988-26 Re v .1 2011-03-30 Cut all the wa y through the log from above . A void letting the chain touch the ground as you finish the cut. Maintain full throttle but be prepared f or what might happen. (39) If it is possible (can y ou tur n the log?) stop cutting about 2/3 of the wa y through the log.
W ORKING TECHNIQUES English – 21 1153988-26 Re v .1 2011-03-30 Finish the f elling cut parallel with the directional cut line so that the distance between them is at least 1/10 of the trunk diameter. The uncut section of the trunk is called the felling hinge .

If the chain rotates when the throttle control is in the idle position you should chec k the carburettor idle adjustment.
