W arnin g and Safety Instructio ns When using you r Deep Fr yer , follow basic safety pr ecautions including the following: Read all instru ctions before using for the first time. Use the applianc e only for its in- tended purpo se. Be sure your a ppliance is properly installed and grounded by a quali- fied technician or ele ctrician.
W arnin g and Safety Instructio ns Repairs on elec trical appliances should only be per for med by quali- fied personnel. Do not repair or replace any par t of the appliance unless specifi- cally recommended in t his manual. Do not use water on gr ease fir es.
Before using for the first time Clean the Deep Fr yer before using for the first time. Fill the o il reservoir with approx. 1 gallon of water and add s ome dish- washing liquid. T ur n the con tr ol knob clockwi se to 265 ° F (130 ° C) and bring the water to a boil.
Fryin g T urning on the Fryer The control knob should be rotated clockwise to turn on the Fryer , and counter clock wise to tur n it off. Do not force the knob or it may break. T ur n the c ontr ol knob to the desir ed temperature. The white indica tor lamp = illuminates to sh ow that th e Frye r is in operation.
Fryin g After frying When the food is r eady: remove the baske t and shak e it lightly to remove excess o il. In or der to drain th e food, the frying basket can be suspended from the bracket suppor t of the he ating ele- ment hinge. T ur n the con tro l knob back to ” 0 “ .

Cleaning and Care The lid / oil reservoir / frying basket These can all be cle aned using hot water with a mild dishw ashing liquid. The lid and basket can be clean ed in a dishwasher .
