About your headset With the Nokia Bluetooth Mono Headset BH ‑ 218, you can handle calls more easily than ever. To answer a cal l, just pick up the ea rpiece and talk. The headset automatically switches on, connects to your phone, and answers the call.
Devices do not need to be in dire ct line-of-sight, but they must be within 10 metres (33 feet) of each other. The con nection may be affected by obstruct ions such as walls or other electronic devices. This device is compliant with Bluetooth Specification 2.
The fully charged battery has power for up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours of standby time. If you ke ep the earpiece in the holder, the standby time is up to 3 months. When the battery charge is low, the he adset be eps every 5 minutes, and the red indicator light flashes.
3 Within 3 minutes, switch Bluetooth on in your pho ne, then set it to search f or Bluetooth devices. For details, se e the user guide of the phone. 4 On your phone, select the headse t from the list of found devices. 5 If asked, type in the passcode 0000 .
Change the earpad Pull the current earpad from the earpiece , then push the new earpad into place. Change the volume Set the volume on your phone. That volume is used as the minimum level – i f the background noise where you are increases or decreases, the headset changes the volume to co mpensate.
When you're not in a call and the earpiece is not in the holder, you can redial the last called number or use voi ce dialling, if yo ur phone supports these features with the headset. Redial the last call ed number Press twice. Use voice dialling Press and hold for 2 seconds, then follo w the inst ructions in the user guide of your phone.
Continue an ongoing call, and de cline a call on another phone Press twice. End an ongoing call, and answer a call on another phone Press . Put an ongoing call on hold, and answer a call on anoth er phone Press and hold for 2 seconds. Switch between active and held calls Press and hold for 2 seconds.
