ENGLISH Introduction With the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-505, you can make and answer calls hands-free with your compatible mobile device. Y ou can also listen to music from a compatible music player . Read this user guide carefully before using the headset.
ENGLISH Get started The headset contains the following parts shown on the title page: indicator light (1), cover of the charger connector (2), power key (3 ), answer/end key (4 ), earplugs (5), volume key (6), rewind/fast-forw ard key (7), microphone (8), and play/ pause key (9).
ENGLISH 3. When the battery is fully charged, the green indicator light is displayed. Disconnect the charger from the headset, then from the wall outlet. Press the cover on the charger c onnector . The fully charged battery has power for up to 12 hours of talk time, up to 375 hours of standby time, or up to 1 0 hours of music playing time.
ENGLISH P air and connect the headset Before using the headset, you must pair and connect it to a compatible device. If your mobile device supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile and has a music player feature, you can use the device to a lso play music th rough the headset.
ENGLISH 3. Within about 3 minutes, activate the Bluet ooth featur e on your device, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices. For details, see the user guide of your device. 4. Select the headset from the list of found devices. 5. If necessary , enter the passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to your device.
ENGLISH Basic use Change the earplugs The headset may be provided with different sized earplugs and earpads. Select the earplugs or earpads that fit the best and are the most comfortable for your ears. To change the current earplugs, pull them from the earpieces, and push the new earplugs or earpads into place.
ENGLISH T o r e d i a l t h e n u m b e r y o u l a s t c a l l e d ( i f your mobile device supports this feature with the headset), when no call is in progress, press the answer/ end key twice.
ENGLISH To select the next song during playback, slide the rewind/fast- forward key up. To select the pr evious song, slide this key down twice. To scroll through the current song quickly , slide and hold the key .
ENGLISH If a battery is being used for the first time or if the battery has not been used for a prolonged period, it may be necessary to connect the charger , then disconnect and reconnect it to begin charging the battery . If the ba ttery is completely discharged, it may take several minutes before the charging indicator light is displayed.
ENGLISH • Keep the device dry . Precipitation, humidity , and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, allow it to dry completely . • Do not use or store the device in dusty , dirty areas.
