2 EN Thank you for purchasing an Olympus Dig ital Voice Rec order. Please read these instructions for information about using the product correctly and safely . Keep the instructions handy for future ref erence. T o ensure successful recording, w e recommend that you test the record function and volume befor e use.

4 EN Playbac k Noise cancel • When the NOISE CANCEL switch is set to ON , playback speed returns to normal. Fas t Playback speed is changed between 0.5x, 0.75x, normal, 1.2x, 1.5x, and 2.0x by each press of the buttons . Slow On Noise is reduced when played back to achiev e better sound quality.

6 EN Eras e `` `` • Once erased, les cannot be restored. Double-check before deleting it. • If no operations are performed for 8 seconds, the recorder r eturns to the stop mode. • It may take more than 10 seconds to complete the process . Do not remove the batteries while proc essing, as this may result in corrupted data.
EN 7 Setting time and date In order to manage the files conveniently , it is recommended to set the time and date. 1 Press SEARCH / MENU for m ore tha n 1 seco nd. Check the time and date settings before using the pr oduc t again if it is left unused for long periods of time.
8 EN Troubleshooting Q1: The power cannot be turned on. A1: • Batteries are exhaust ed. • Batteries are inserted incorrectly . Check = and - before inserting new batteries. • T erminals are soiled. Clean them with a dry cloth. Q2: Nothing happens when a button is pressed.
