3 Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Omron ® Instant Ear Thermometer . Please read carefully this instruction manual completely before using the thermometer . This ear thermometer offers a safe, accurate and quick temperature reading from the ear canal.
4 W arnings • Use of this thermometer is not intended as a substitution for consultation with your physician. • This thermometer is intended to be used in human ears only . • Use only Omron ® lens covers for this specif ic unit. • For proper hygiene, DO NO T reuse the same lens covers.

6 Before Use Important: Prior to ev ery measurement, fit a ne w lens cov er on the probe. F ailure to do so may result in incorrect temperature measurement.
7 Directions for Use 1. W ith lens cover correctly on unit, press On/Of f button. The LCD display is activ ated to sho w all se gments for 2 seconds (illuminated display for 5 seconds). 2. The last measurement reading will be shown on the display automatically for 3 seconds with the ''M'' memory symbol.
8 Directions for Use (continued) • In the following situations it is recommended that three temperatures in the same ear be taken and the highest one taken as the reading: 1) New born inf ants in the first 100 days. 2) Children under three years of age with a compromised immune system and for whom the presence or absence of fev er is critical.
9 Tr ouble Shooting LCD Display The reading will be shown on the LCD display . The unit is ready for the next measurement when the °C or °F symbol starts flashing.
10 Error Messages Display/ Problem Displays ''L'' in conjunction with the '' ▼ '' when ambient temperature is lower than 10.0 °C or 50.0 °F . Please check if the battery has been installed correctly . Also check polarity (<+> and <->) of battery .

3 Introducción Gracias por comprar el termómetro de oído instantáneo Omron ® . Antes de utilizar el termómetro, lea detenidamente este manual de instrucciones. Este termómetro de oído permite conocer la temperatura del conducto auditiv o de manera rápida, precisa y segura.
4 Advertencias • Este termómetro no fue diseñado para ser utilizado en reemplazo de la consulta con su médico. • Este termómetro debe utilizarse únicamente en el oído humano. • Sólo emplee los protectores de el lente Omron ® correspondientes a su unidad específica.

6 Antes de usar Importante: Antes de cada medición, coloque un nuev o protector de el lente en l a sonda. Si no lo hace, podría obtener una medición de temperatura incorrecta. Por razones de higiene, coloque un nuev o protector de el lente cada vez que lo use.
7 Instrucciones de uso 1. Una vez que el protector de el lente esté correctamente colocado en la unidad, presione el botón de encendido (On/Off). El visor LCD se acti v a para mostrar todos los segmentos durante 2 segundos (pantalla iluminada durante 5 segundos).
8 Instrucciones de uso (continuación) • Se recomienda realizar tres mediciones de temperatura en el mismo oído y considerar la lectura más alta en los siguientes casos: 1) Bebés recién nacidos hasta los primeros 100 días.
9 Detección y solución de problemas V isor LCD La lectura aparecerá en el visor LCD. La unidad está lista para realizar la próxima medición cuando el símbolo °C o °F comienza a titilar . El símbolo °C (o ºF ) aparece y titila para indicar que la unidad está lista para realizar la próxima medición.
10 Mensajes de error V isor / Problema Muestra una ‘’L ’ ’ junto con la ‘’ ▼ ’’ cuando la temperatura ambiente es inferior a 10,0 °C ó 50,0 °F . V erifique si la pila está correctamente instalada. Además, controle la polaridad (<+> y <->) de la pila.
