8 VQT3W08 Using the touc hpad The touchpad of t he remote control is used for various operations such as moving the highlight or pointer , confirming the selection, play back control, entering characters, etc.
Getting started 9 VQT3W08 The KE YS screen t hat can perf orm item selection, playback control, text input, etc., is displayed on th e screen when [KE YS] is pressed. KEYS scre en operation w ill take priority over all other operation on the screen. 1 Select the screen to operate by pressing on [KEYS] several times.
10 VQT3W08 STEP 1 : Installing the Unit The unit can be installed in following f our ways. ≥ Use the pedestal supplied with the unit. ≥ Beware of tipping or falling of the main unit when c onnecting the cab les after installation.

T op section of the pedestal is not used. 2 Align the re ar end of the m ain unit against the rear end of t he pedestal, and lower the main unit.
12 VQT3W08 STEP 3 : Connectin g to an amplifier/receiv er Perform either one of the foll owing connections in accordanc e with your amplifier/receiver input terminal.

14 VQT3W08 STEP 6 : Settings After connecting your n ew player for the f irst time and pressing [ Í ], a screen for the basic settings will appear . Preparation T urn on the television and select the appropriate video input on the television. 1 Press [ Í ].

16 VQT3W08 If you have m ore than one P anasonic player/ recorder and the remote control operates both products at once, you will need to change t he remote control code to prevent this occurrence.

18 VQT3W08 Multi User Mode Multi User Mode is a function that enables switching of multiple settings easily . Up to 4 people can use the unit with their own settings.

20 VQT3W08 Basic operation can be performe d by swiping the edge of the touchpad with your finger , such as the following. ≥ Perform the operation when the KEY S screen is not displayed. 1 Repeatedly press [KE YS] to d isplay the cursor key input screen.
Playback 21 VQT3W08 Preparation Connect this unit to a 3D compatible TV . ( > 1 1, 12) ≥ Perform the necessary preparations for the TV . ≥ Play back following the instructions displayed on the sc reen. ≥ 3D Se ttin gs ( > 27, 30) ≥ Please refrain from viewing 3D images if you do not feel well or are experiencing visual fatigue.
22 VQT3W08 VIERA Con nect (Enjo ying NETFLIX, etc.) VIERA Connect allows you to ac cess so me specific websites s uppo rted by Panasonic, and enjoy Internet contents such as photos, videos, etc. from VIERA Connect Home screen. This unit has no full browser function and all features of websites may not be available.

The audio is set in such a way that it can be heard easily . ≥ Re-mas ter: This feature gives you brighter sound by increasing the high frequency portion of t he audio.

36 VQT3W08 T roubleshooting guide Before requesting s ervice, please perfo rm the following steps. The following do not indicate a problem with this u nit: – Regular disc r otating sounds. – Image disturbance dur ing search. – Image disturbance whe n replacing 3D discs.
Reference 37 VQT3W08 Y o u have forgot ten your ratings password. Y o u want to cancel the ratings level. ¾ The ratings level returns to the factory preset. 1 Turn t he unit on. 2 Press and hold [KEYS], [B] and [Y] at the same time for more than 5 seconds .
38 VQT3W08 Cannot switch audio. ¾ When connecting an amplifier/receiver us ing DIGIT AL AUDIO OUT or HDMI A V OUT terminal, you cannot switch the audio if “Digital Audio O utput” is set to “Bitstream”. Set “Digital Audio Outp ut” to “P CM”.
