Duplex Ring 32 5 Duplex Rin g Duplex Ring 5.1 Using with the ring detection feature When you s ubscribe to a duple x ring ser vice, your telephone c ompany will assign y ou a new f ax number and will also tell you the assigned ring patter n. Please complete the f ollowing setup on your f ax machine to identify the assigned ring pattern.

Help 48 9H e l p Error Messages 9.1 Err o r messages – Repor ts If a problem occurs during f ax transmission or reception, one of the f ollowing comm unication messages will be printed on the sending and journal repor ts (page 24). COMMUNICA TION ERROR (Code: 40-42, 46-72, FF ) L A transmission or reception error occurred.
9. Help 49 L The unit has a document in memory . See the other displa yed message instructions to print out the document. FAX MEMO RY FULL L The memor y is full of receiv ed documents due to a lack of recording paper or a recording paper jam. Install paper (page 12) or clear the jammed paper (page 53).
9. Help 50 I cannot make calls. L The dialling mode setting is wrong. Change the setting of feature #13 (page 43). The unit does n ot work. L Disconnect the unit from the telephone line and connect the line to a kno wn wor king telephone. If the working telephone operates properly , contact our ser vice personnel to hav e the unit repaired.
