1 CHAPTER 1 Getting Star ted W elcome to the con ver gence of your PC, TV and video! This new technolog y changes the way you view TV , graphics, and video on your PC. The ALL-IN-WONDER family of cards are powerful TV tuners, D VD players, Personal V ideo Recorders, and 2D & 3D graphics and video accelerators.

Installing the Hardware and Software 11 Installing Y our ALL-IN-W ONDER Car d Y ou are now ready to install your card. 1 Power -off the computer and monitor . 2 Disconnect the monitor cable from the back of your computer , and discon nect al l other connectors from the back of your old video card.
12 Installing the Hardware and Software 4 Remov e any e xisting graphics card from your computer . If your computer has an on-b oar d graphics capabil ity , you may need to disable it on the motherboard. F o r mor e information, see your computer documentati on or contact the manufacturer .
Installing the Hardware and Software 13 6 T urn on the computer and monitor . If your ALL-IN-WONDER card came with a D VI-I conn ector , you can connect a flat panel display to the appropriate connector , as sho wn below .

T o correctly install yo ur ne w hardware: If you are using W in do ws ® 2000 or W indows ® XP , Cancel the W izard and proceed to Installing the CAT ALYST™ Software Suite on page 14 .

16 Installing the Hardware and Software T roubleshooting Tips Multiple Displa y Suppor t If you use multiple mon itors, the ALL-IN-WONDER card must be the primary graphics card. Normally , the system BIOS determines whether the A GP or PCI card will be the primary .

Installing the Hardware and Software 23 S electing the sound card connector for TV audio input The sound card connector determines which mixer slider is controlled by the A TI Multimedia Center’ s volume slider . 1 Click the Setup button in the TV Player control panel, then click the Displa y tab .

26 Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER T o connect a VCR or camcorder to yo ur ALL-IN-WONDER 1 T urn off your computer and your VCR or camcorder . 2 Ensure your graphics card is installed co rrectly . 3 Determine if your VCR or camcorder has an S-V ideo or Composite video connection.
Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER 27 T o connect your graphics car d to a television • Y ou must attach a TV before enabling TV output • In order to record audio on your VCR or hear audio through your TV speakers, you must c onnect the audio cables (see page 21 ).
28 Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER Using SCAR T connectors f or Eur opean televisions The SCAR T con nector supports only the Composite video format, which is the most common type. The above illustration sho ws how to connect to an SCAR T connector u sing a Composite cable.

30 Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER Older monitors and large, speciality monitors may no t work with television display enabled. If you experience problems when television display is enabled, disable television display to restore your monito r’ s display .

Y o u can record video from your ALL-IN-WONDER while you watch another channel on the TVWONDER.

Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER 37 Installing y our A TI HDTV Component Video Adapter For “P owered by A TI” pr oducts: 1 Insert the A TI Installation CD that came with your HDTV Component V ideo Adapter Kit into your CD-R OM drive. If W indows runs the CD automat ically , cancel the installation.
38 Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER 8 T urn on your compon ent input device, and set it to YPbPr input. See your HDTV or component input device manual for further instructions. 9 T urn on your PC. Y our TV will not display a nything until W ind ows starts. This may take several minutes.

40 Using Your ALL-IN-WONDER 8 Click 640 x 480 . 9 For Interlaced mode, click 30Hz or 60Hz . YPbPr is only available with the 30Hz or 60HZ settings. The following tips may help if you experience problems. Please contact your dealer for more advanced troubleshooting information.
