RESTRICTING ANY OF THE COMPRESSOR VENTILA TION OPENINGS WILL CAUSE SERIOUS OVERHEA TING AND COULD CAUSE FIRE.

7-ENG DESCRIPTION OF OPERA TION Drain V alve (not shown): The drain valve is located at the base of the air tank and is used to drain condensation at the end of each use. Motor Thermal Overload Protector (not shown): The electric motor has an automatic thermal overload protector .
8-ENG INST ALLA TION Location of the Air Compr essor Locate the air compressor in a clean, dry , and well-ventilated area. The air filter must be kept clear of obstructions which could r educe air flow to the air compr essor .
9-ENG GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK! In the event of a short circuit, gr ounding reduces the risk of shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
10-ENG OPERA TING PROCEDURES Daily Start-Up Checklist 1. Before attaching air hose or accessories, make sure the ON/AUTO lever is set to “OFF” and the air regulator is closed. 2. Attach hose and accessories. TOO MUCH AIR PRESSURE CAUSES A HAZARDOUS RISK OF BURSTING.
11-ENG SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS Air Filter - Inspection and Replacement Keep the air filter clean at all times. Do not operate the compressor with the air filter removed. A dirty air filter will not allow the compressor to operate at full capacity . Befor e you use the compressor , check the air filter to be sur e it is clean.
12-ENG 5. Check that the valve disc moves freely inside the check valve and that the spring holds the disc in the upper , closed position. The check valve may be cleaned with a strong solvent. 6. Apply sealant to the check valve threads. Reinstall the check valve.
13-ENG CAUSE PERFORMING REP AIRS MA Y EXPOSE VOL T AGE SOURCES, MOVING P AR TS OR COMPRESSED AIR SOURCES. PERSONAL INJUR Y MA Y OCCUR. PRIOR TO A TTEMPTING ANY REP AIRS, UNPLUG THE AIR COMPRESSOR AND BLEED OFF ALL AIR T ANK AIR PRESSURE. PROBLEM CORRECTION TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Excessive tank pressure - safety valve pops off.
14-ENG CAUSE PROBLEM CORRECTION Motor will not run or restart. Motor overload pr otection switch has tripped. T ank pressure exceeds pr essure switch “cut-in” pr essure. W rong gauge wire or length of extension cor d. Check valve stuck open. Loose electrical connections.
15-ENG Operate safety valve manually by pulling on ring. If valve still leaks, it should be replaced. Possible defect in safety valve. Air leak from safety valve. CAUSE PROBLEM CORRECTION Knocking Noise. Defective check valve. Remove and clean, or r eplace.
16-ENG ACCESSORIES Accessories can be found at the store the unit was purchased or at a local hardwar e store . PLUMBING COMPONENTS CONNECTORS Connects components that have similar NPT threads; Male or Female. 360 O SWIVEL CONNECTOR Eliminates hose twist and improves tool handling.
