5 ASSEMBL Y Assembly requires two persons. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dis pose of the packing materials until assembly is completed. Note: The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high-performance lubricant.
6 5 53 11 3 T ies 5 4 4 87 5 5. Attach the end of the ground wire to the small hole in the side of the right Handrail (4) with a Silver Ground Screw (1 13). Set the Console Base (87) on the Handrails (4). Thread four 3/4” Screws (5) into the Handrails and the Console Base.
87 5 5 53 4 5 7 7. Set the Console (1 1) in the Console Base (87). Be careful to avoid pinching any wires. Insert the excess Wire Harness (53) into the large hole in the side of the right Handrail (4). Make sure that no wires are pinched. T ighten seven 3/4” Screws (5) into the Console Base (87) and the Console (1 1).
8 9. Identify the Left Upper Body Arm (56) (refer to the draw- ing on page 4). Hold the Left Upper Body Arm near the Left Upright (14) as shown. Make sure that the Resistance Knob (64) is on the indicated side. Attach the Left Upper Body Arm to the Left Upright with two 3” Bolts (7), two W ashers (40), and two 3/8” Star W ashers (54) as shown.

OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PERFORMANT LUBE TM W ALKING BEL T Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with PERFORMANT LUBE TM , a high-performance lubricant. IMPORT ANT : Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking plat- form.
10 STEP-BY -STEP CONSOLE OPERA TION Before operating the console, make sure that the power cord is properly plugged in (see page 9). If there is a thin sheet of plastic on the console, remove the plastic. Note: The console can display speed and distance in either miles or kilometers (see SPEED DISPLA Y on page 1 1).
11 T o stop the walking belt, press the Stop button. The elapsed time will begin to flash in the T ime/ Distance display . Note: During the first few minutes that the treadmill is used, inspect the alignment of the walking belt, and align it if necessary (see page 14).
12 HOW T O FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Before folding the treadmill, unplug the power cord. CAUTION: Y ou must be able to safely lift 45 pounds (20 kg) in order to raise, lower or move the treadmill. 1. Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown at the right.

14 PROBLEM: The walking belt slows when walked on SOLUTION: a. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 9. b. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill perfor- mance may decrease and the walking belt may become damaged.
