1 Y our cooker should giv e you many years of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . It is impor tant that you read this section befor e you start, par ticularly if you have not used a dual fuel cooker bef ore. Impor tant! This appliance is designed f or domestic cooking only .
2 Always be c er tain that the controls are in the OFF position when the oven is not in use , and before attempting to clean the cooker . When the ov en is on, DO NOT lea ve the oven door open for longer than necessary , other wise the control knobs ma y become very hot.

Continue to press in the knob to let the gas through to the burner for about ten seconds.
5 The Griddle The griddle ts the left-hand pan support, front to back (Fig . 2.11) . It is designed for cooking food on directly . DO NOT use pans of any kind on it. The griddle sur face is non-stick and metal cooking utensils (e.g. spa tulas) will damage the sur face.

7 The Ov ens The clock must be set to the time of day bef ore the left hand oven will w ork. See the following section on ‘ The Clock’ for instructions on setting the time of day . References to ‘ left-hand’ and ‘right-hand’ ovens apply as viewed from the front of the appliance .
8 Multifunction O ven F unc tions F an Oven This function operates the fan and the heating element around it. An ev en heat is produced throughout the ov en, allowing you to cook large amounts quickly . F an oven cooking is particularly suitable for bak ing on several shelves at one time and is a good ‘ all-round’ function.

11 T o Star t and Then Stop the Left-hand Oven Set the left-hand oven to automatically start and stop using a combination of the ‘ cook period’ and ‘stop time ’ . Y ou cannot set a start time direc tly – this is set automatically by a c ombination of the ‘ cook period’ and ‘stop time ’ .

15 Essential Informa tion Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any thorough cleaning . Allow the cooker to cool. NEVER use paint solven ts, washing soda, caustic cleaners, biological powders , bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt.

17 Glass Fr onted Door Panels The oven door fr ont panels can be taken o so that the glass panels can be cleaned. Move the c ooker for ward to gain access to the sides (see the ‘Mo ving the Cooker’ sec tion under ‘Installation ’ ).
18 Cleaning T able Cleaners listed (T able 5.1) are available from supermarkets or electrical retailers as stated. F or enamelled sur faces use a cleaner that is approved f or use on vitreous enamel. Regular cleaning is recommended. F or easier cleaning, wipe up any spillages immediately .
19 6. T roubleshooting Hotplate ignition or hotplat e burners faulty Is the power on? Is the clock illuminat ed? If not, there maybe something wrong with the po wer supply . Are the sparker (ignition electrode) or burner slots blocked by debris.? Are the burner trim and caps correctly located? See the section on ‘Cleaning’ .
