1 Thank you f or buying this cooker . It should give you many years of trouble-free cooking if installed and operated correctly . It is impor tant that you r ead this section before you start, par ticularly if you have not used a cer amic cooker before .

6 Dual Purpose Hob / W armer Area On the right of the hob is a dual purpose area (F ig. 2.8) . The inner ring marks out a 1.2 kW hob area that can be used in the same way as all the other cooking zones on the hob . The outer line marks the extent of the warmer .
7 Multi-function O ven F unc tions F an O ven This function operates the fan and the heating element around it. An ev en heat is produced throughout the ov en, allowing you to c ook large amounts quickly . F an oven cooking is par ticularly suitable for baking on several shelves at one time and is a good ‘all-round’ func tion.
8 The F an Oven F an ovens circulate hot air c ontinuously , which means faster , more even cooking. The recommended c ooking temperatures f or a fan oven are generally lower than those for a non-fan ov en. Note: Please remember tha t all cookers vary so temperatures in your new ov ens may dier t o those in your previous cooker .
9 The C lock Setting the T ime of Day The L CD clock is shown in Fig . 2.12 . When the clock is rst connected the display ashes ( 0.00 ) and ( ) alternately . Pr ess and hold both the [ ] and [ ] buttons down (Fig . 2.13) . Now pr ess the [+] button (or the [–] button) un til the correct time shows.

11 Ac cessories Oven Shelv es The oven shelv es (F ig. 2.27) can be easily r emoved and retted . Pull the shelf f orward until the back of the shelf is stopped by the shelf stop bumps in the oven sides (F ig. 2.28) . Lift up the front of the shelf so the back of the shelf will pass under the shelf stop and then pull the shelf forward (Fig .
12 Remove the trivet fr om the pan and position the rack at the height of the centre of the o ven. Use the fan or c onven tional oven settings and f ollow the guide time in the cooking chart for roasting . Only use the supplied pan in the Handygrill rack – any other vessel c ould be unstable.
15 T ips on Cooking with the Timer If you want to cook mor e than one dish, choose dishes that require appr oximat ely the same cooking time. Howev er , dishes can be ‘slo wed down ’ slightly by u.

15 Essential Informa tion Isolate the electricity supply before carrying out any major cleaning. Then allow the cooker to c ool. NEVER use paint solvents , washing soda, caustic cleaners, biological powders , bleach, chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarse abr asives or salt .
16 ArtNo.320-0002b - Oven door side screws (T oledo) T o Remove Metal Rub-off Sliding pans on the hob – especially aluminium or copper pans – can leave marks on the surface. These marks of ten appear like scratches , but can easily be remov ed using the procedur e described previously for ‘ Cleaning Spills’ .
17 Removing the Oven Linings Some of the lining panels can be removed f or cleaning. If you wish to clean the enamel interior of the ov en, you will need to remov e the shelves bef ore remo ving the ‘Cook & Clean ’ panels. Y ou do not have to remov e the support brackets to remo ve the panels.
18 Interference with and repairs to the hob MUST NO T be carried out by unqualied persons. Do not try to repair the hob as this ma y result in injury and damage to the hob .
19 The ov en light is not w orking The bulb has probably blown. Y ou can buy a replacement bulb (which is not c over ed under the guarantee) fr om most electrical stores. Ask for an Edison scr ew tting 15 W 230V lamp , FOR OVENS (Fig . 6.1) .
