7 Quick setup for VoI P Conference Call s W hile all compo nents deliv ered with the R evolabs FLX 2 Co nferenc e Phone are partia lly charg ed, we r ecomme nd charg ing the Speak er , the Mi cropho ne s, an d th e Dialer for at least 8 hours o r overni ght before star ting to use the sy stem .
8 VoIP configura tion For the F LX phone to wor k within a V oIP env ironment t he phone ha s to be se t up to communi cate to the tel ephone swit ch. You will also hav e to enabl e t he extensi on (us er) you w ant to use wi th the FLX on your swi tch.
9 To answ er a call using the conference phone, si mply remov e one or more M icrop hone s from the C harger Base when the Speaker rings. If a microphon e is already out o f the charg er base w hen an incoming call c omes in, pres sing th e button on th e m icr ophone will answer the call i n con ference phone m ode.
10 Instal ling FLX 2 Comp onents The Rev olabs FLX 2 TM Syste m is comprised of several components that wor k togeth er to prov ide you w ith a great w ireless con ferenci ng sy stem. These compo nents must be setup cor rectl y for opt imal p erfor man ce of th e system.
11 FLX 2 Char ge r Ba se The FLX 2 Charg er Base, show n below , prov ides charg ing capabiliti es for all batt ery operated s yste m comp onents , i ncludi ng th e Dial er, the Speaker , and the Mic rophon es , by all owing them to c harg e in one si mple a nd org anized l ocation .
12 FLX Diale r The FLX Dialer equips the user wit h a n intuiti ve an d inter activ e tool f or configuri ng an d operati ng the F LX Sy stem . The Dialer is not o nly us ed to mak e and a nswer c onf.
13 FLX Speaker The FLX Speak er, show n below, is a w ireless activ e omnidirection al speaker that h as been desig ned and opt imiz e d speci fically for use w ith the FLX Con ferencing Sy stem .

Connecting S y s te m Cables The FLX 2 Cha rger Bas e has a pow er supply that needs to be c onnect ed , as show n below .

21 Answer i ng a n Incoming Call 1. When th e FLX 2 Sys te m identi fies an i ncoming cal l, it will p la y the ring tone throug h the FLX Speaker. If the Dialer is not in th e Char ger Bas e it will play a ring tone, too. 2. T he FLX Di aler w ill di splay the cal ler ID in f or mation for the incoming call .
22 Ending a Te lephone call 1. A cal l can be ended in two f as hions. a. Pres s the R ed ‘End Call ’ button on the FLX Dialer during a call. b. P lace the Dialer in the c har g er . ( ‘Handset m ode ’ o nly) 2. When a c a ll is ended the hom e scree n is sho wn again .

24 Conf erence Cal l There are two ways to start a c onference cal l: 1. Press the ‘ Ent er ’ key to acces s th e Activ e Cal l Menu and selec t ‘C onfe rence ’. 2. Cr eate the s econd call by selecting D ialer, C ontacts, or Recent . 3. Init iate th e second c all.

26 Bluetooth The FLX 2 S ystem is eq uipped w ith a Bl uetooth i nterf ace all owing a call to be plac ed through a cell phone, c omputer, or 3 rd party Bluetooth dev ice. The FLX Micr ophone s and Speak er then act as the Mi crophone and Speaker for that call.

45 Admin S ettings The Admin Settings m enu allow s changing settings that are related to gen eral sy stem settings. Setting System N ame 1. Go to Menu Setup Advanced Setup Admin Se ttings Set Sy s tem Name. 2. Chang e the current System N ame to the n ew name, and press Ent er.
46 Web Access ON / OFF W eb Acces s OFF allo ws you t o disabl e the w eb interface i nto the FLX . If W eb Acc ess is set to off, any at tempt to open the w eb interface w ill be dec line d. Please be aware that if the w eb inter face i s swi tched off , it can only be rest arted fr om the phone.

52 A udio Mix er The set tings bel ow can be changed at any ti me durin g a call. Speaker Mix The Speak er Mixer specifies th e mix between AU X IN an d the p hone in put to be play ed back on t he s peake r. It is a slidi ng scal e fr om -8 (fav oring phone) to +8 (favoring AUX IN).
53 Date/Time The Dat e/Time p age is used to s pecify how the dat e and ti me are to be se t, eit her automat ically or manually , and the time z one and Dayl ight Sav ing Time rules for y our locale. Below is an ill ustrati on s howing the Date/Time pag e settings f ollow ed by a tabl e descri bing each field.
