7 DOUBLE INSULA TION Doubl e in sulat ion is a concept in saf ety in elec tric power tools, which eliminates the need for the usual three-wir e grounded power cord. All exposed metal parts ar e isolated from the internal metal motor components with protecting insulation.
8 KNOW YOUR DRILL-DRIVER See Figure 1. Before attempting to operate your drill-driver , familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety requir e- ments. WARNING: Carefully r ead through this entire operator's manual befor e using your new drill- driver .

11 ADJUST ABLE TORQUE CLUTCH Y our dril l is equ ipp ed wit h an adjus table tor que clutc h for driving differ ent types of screws into differ ent materials.
12 U N L O C K WARNING: Be pr epared for binding or bit breakthrough. When these situations occur , drill has a tendency to grab and kick opposite to the dir ection of r otation and could cause loss of contr ol when breaking thr ough material. If not prepar ed, this loss of contr ol can result in possible serious injury .
13 U N L O C K CHUCK REMOV AL See Figures 10, 11, and 12. Whenever necessary to remove the chuck for replace - ment, etc. use the following procedure for chuck re - moval: n Unplug your drill. n Rotate torque adjusting ring to the maximum tor que setting.
