To record dat a on a CD-R or C D-RW disc in the CD- RW drive, you must fir st install the CD record utility. For compatibility reas ons, you are re commended to u ninstall any existin g software of t he same type bef ore installing this utility. Installing the CD Record U tility Insert the dis c supplied with the CD-RW drive in the drive.
This Device Drive r is an installatio n driver that can d etect ODD (Optica l Disc Drive) pr oducts in DOS mod e. It provide s only the read ing functio n in Dos mode.
Setting Up the Device Driver Automatic Setu p The device drive r is located in th e Ddriver folder of the CD Recor d Utility disc which is p rovided in the package. Insert t he CD Record Utility disc int o the CD-RO M drive and op en the Ddriver folder.
To play aud io or video CDs in your CD-R W Drive, proc eed as follo ws. Using the CD-RW Drive Push the power button and boo t the comput er. After boot ing the comp uter, open th e disc compar tment by pres sing the Ejec t button.

Problem Meaning / Solution The CD-RW Drive i s no t detected by t he co mputer. After inst alling the CD-R W Drive, the PC gets slower . Check th at the po wer, au dio and ID E cables are corr ectly con nected to the computer. Change the IDE cable and re connect it to the comput er.
