I I n n s s t t a a l l l l a a t t i i o o n n The f ollowing inf ormation explains how to configure the Bluetooth-to-Serial Adapter and pair it with a Bluetooth host de vice.
4. Inser t the CD driv er into the CD-ROM driv e, and browse to X: Bluetooth BTRS232.exe , where X is the designated CD-R OM dr ive . Double-click on the BTRS232.exe file to begin configur ation. 5. Select the PC COM P ort to which the Bluetooth to Ser ial Adapter is connected.
Remote MA C Address: Enabling this f eature allo ws you to enter the Bluetooth MA C Address of the remote Bluetooth device (e.g.000272463b86) to which the Bluetooth to Serial Adapter will be linking. Configuration: Adapter Name Enter a De vice Name for y our Bluetooth to Serial Adapter (length <= 31 alphanumeric characters). For e xample: “Bluetooth to Serial Adapter”. Once you ha v e entered this information, please press the Save Button, f ollow ed by the Disconnect b utton.

Select the COM Port, and click the Connect button. The local PC will use this COM por t to connect with your Bluetooth to Serial Adapter .
Configuration: Adapter Name (Default : Serial Adapter) T o change the de vice name: 1. Highlight Local Device Name . 2. Enter the chosen de vice name in the text bo x provided (length <= 31 alphanumeric characters), f or example , “Bluetooth to Serial Adapter”.
3. Please make sure the COM por t number that the Bluetooth to Serial Adapter connects to your PC is correct. 4. Execute the Hyper T er minal program to test the data transmission on y our PC. Start > Program > Accessories > Communications > Hyper Terminal 5.
