Professional Style Steamer Dear Consumer Thank you for purchasing t he SteamFast ® Professional Style steamer. In order to prolong th e life of your steamer w e recommend that the water tank be drained between each us e if tap water i s being used. This will reduce liming as a result of hard water.

LEARNING ABOUT YOUR STEAMER Please refer to the picture fo r each point (1) The control HANDLE on th e end of the hose sits just before the nozzle. The HANDLE is d esigned to be heat free an d i s safe to grasp. Use the HANDLE to aim t he direction of the steam released from the nozzle.
STEAMER ASSEMBLY STEP 1 - ATTACHING THE ROD A. Se t t h e appliance on a steady surface. B. T h e Rod i s shipped in a collapsed position and must be extended for use. Take the Ro d and loosen the T o p Knurled Knob slightly b y rotating it counter - clockwise.
STEAMER OPERATION A. Set th e unit o n the floor a nd remove the water container. B. Check the inside of the cont ainer the sedime nt . If present rins e th e container and follo w ing the Removing Mineral Buildup procedure found later i n this manual.
PRESSING WITH STEAM 1. Grasp th e control handle with th e nozzle facing upward. Beginning at th e bottom of th e fabric will allow the steam to rise inside an d outside removing wrinkles. Slowly move t he nozzle from t he bottom to t he t o p o f t he fabric.
Drain the unit b y removing the drain plug (located at the side o f the main unit - see P.4 #1 1). This will allow contents of the reservoir (main unit) t o drain. Tipping the unit in the direction o f th e drain plug to remove any remaining water. Replace the drain plug.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES During operation t h e steamer hose may gurgle . a. This is a normal result of condensation collecting inside th e hose. Simply lift the control handle upward until the hose is extended t o i t s full height.

Removing Mineral Buildup One common problem with steamers is mineral buildup caused b y t he high mineral content in many municipal water supplies. Mineral residue inside of the internal pipes and heater can cause intermittent steaming o r i n severe cases n o steaming at all.
Reassembling The Water Tank Valve C a p I f th e plunger becomes separated from t he Valve Cap, follow the following procedure. A . Grab th e Value C a p Assembly and rotate i t counter clockwise about 1/8th of a t urn. Lift straight up t o remove t he cap.
