8 SECTION 4: OPERATING YOUR LOG SPLITTER Gas and O il Fill-Up • Service the engine wi t h gasol ine and oil as instructed in the engine manu al packed with your log splitter. Read instructions ca r e f ully. NOTE: Gas oline can be added to t h e en gine when t h e log splitter i s in either the horizontal or vertical position.

12 SECTION 7: STORING YOUR LOG SPLITTER Prepare your log splitter for storage at the end of th e season or if the log splitter will not be used for 30 days or more. • Clean the log splitter thorough ly. NOTE: We do not recommend t he use o f pressure washers or garden hose t o clean your unit.
