3 GETTING TO KNOW THE HEADSET W ARNING: Using the headset at ex cessive volume can cause permanent hearing loss. T o reduce the risk of hearing damage, use the minimum volume lev el necessary (see page 13). * Specications and features ar e subjec t to change without notice .
4 Color Stat e Meaning Blue 3 ashes The headset is turned on. 1 ash every 5 seconds The headset is in standby & not pair ed to a Bluetooth device . 2 ashes every 5 seconds The headset is curr ently paired to a Bluet ooth device. 3 ashes every 5 seconds The headset is on an active call .

6 Press it to Press & hold it for 2 seconds to 4 seconds to V olume Up During a call: Increase the call volume. NA During a call-waiting call: Put the active call on hold and switch to the waiting call . V olume Down During a call: Decrease the call volume.
7 When the battery needs to be rechar ged, y ou will hear warning beeps every 30 seconds and see the red LED (depending on y our headset status). NOTE: Use ONL Y the AC adapter supplied with the headset.
8 Y our phone should discov er a device called a BT230 or BT230 headset , When your phone asks if you wan t to pair with this device, select yes . When your phone pr ompts you for a PIN code or passw ord to pair with the BT230, enter 0000 . NOTE: If y our phone supports Bluetooth 2.
9 If the headset loses the connection for more than 30 seconds ( e.g ., if your phone is out of r ange), it goes into idle mode. T o manually reconnect, pr ess MFB once. If the headset comes back in range in less than 30 seconds , it will automatically rec onnect without pressing MFB.

11 T ransfer a call Press and hold MFB for 2 sec onds to transfer the curren t call from your phone to headset (and back). Redial the last number W ith the phone in standby , press MFB . The headset automa tically dials the last number you dialed fr om your phone.
12 T o deactivate v oice dialing, pr ess and hold MFB until you hear a beep (about 2 seconds). NOTE: If y ou are in V oice Activat ed Dialing mode and you activate Last Number Redial , V oice - Activated Dialing turns o and the last number is dialed .
13 Only one phone at a time can be on an active call. The headset plays a di erent ring tone for each phone so y ou know which one is ringing. T o answer the incoming call , press MFB as usual. All the button functions remain the same for the rst phone (the one y ou paired rst).
14 If ... Try ... The headset paired with my phone, but I can ’t hear anything through it . Making sure the call connected and is still active. Making sure the phone transferr ed the c all to the headset . Press and hold MFB for two seconds to transf er the call.
15 The headset can be connected only to devices tha t suppor t the Bluetooth headset or hands-fr ee prole. It is not compatible with standar d cordless phones. BATTERY LIFE With a verage use , the battery should provide about 6 hours of talk time and 7 days of standby time .
If the noise continues, ther e may be inter fer ence on your phone itself , and any noise in the phone’ s connection will come through on the headset, t oo . T ransfer the call to your phone and see if the audio quality improves . If it doesn’ t, look around for things that can interfere with your phone .
When using the headset, alw ays follow basic safety precautions to r educe the risk of re, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following: Do not use this product near water , for example, near a bath tub , wash bowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub , in a wet basement or near a swimming pool .
