2 Overview Thank you for choosing the Ell ipsis Jetpack! Havi ng the Ellipsis Jetpack at your fingertips w ill allow you to access Verizon’ s 4G LTE network for fast uploads and dow nloads.
3 Components 1. Power/Menu Button – Pow er the Jetpac k on/off and sw itch the menu Operations Actions Power On Press and hold the Power bu tton for 2 seconds to turn on.

5 Battery Manag ement Your Jetpac k is equipped w ith an internal, non -removabl e, rechargeable battery . It wil l work from its char ged battery alone, or w hen the device is plu gg ed into a pow er source . Note: Please do not attempt to open or disas semble this Jetpack.

7 Accessing the Network Work effectivel y outside the home or office w ith the reliabl e broadband spe ed that the 4G LTE service prov ides. You can connect to the inte rnet at speed s that are up to 10 times faster than 3G, and keep up - to -date on all you r email corresponde nce, downloa d attachments, and acce ss your corporate in tranet.
8 Using Your Jetpack for the First Time System Requirements Your computer, tablet, or othe r wireless dev ices need W i-Fi capabi lity and Internet brow ser software only . Your Jetpack is co m patibl e with all major operatin g systems and the latest versions o f browsers.
9 NOTE: Should your 4G S IM card be lost o r da maged, contact Veriz on Customer C are for a replacement. Charging the Battery Before using y our Jetpack, ensu re that the ba t tery is fully charged . Be sure to use the char ger that came wi th your Jetpack.
10 Connecting to Your Jetpac k Wi -Fi Name (SSID) and Password Your default W i-Fi Name (SSID ) and Password c an be found on the Jetpack displ ay upon ini tial power up. You can also view your Wi -Fi Name and Pas sword using the follow ing steps. 1 Power on y our Jetpack.
11 Using Your Jetpack after S etup is Complete Mobile Hotspot to share connections You can use the Je t pack as a wireless mobi le hotspot to con nect up to a total of eight W i- Fi capable devi ces to the mobi le broadband netw ork. 13 Managing Your Jetpack Using the Web User Interface You can connect to the Web U I and customi ze your Jetpac k settings. 1 Connect your W i-Fi capable dev ice to t he Je tpack. 2 Open a web browser on you r connected devi ce and enter either o f these U RLs: http://my.
14 My Jetpack Home The My Jetpack Home page allow s you to quickly access commonly used links and all available menu option s for your Je tpack. The My Jetpack Home page contains the followi ng quick .
15 My Account & Tools The My A ccount & Tools quick links contain the foll owing options: My Verizon al lows y ou to manage you r account, pay you r bill, purchase accesso ries, and more. Register at http://veriz onwireless.com/my verizon . Click on Coverage Map to access the Ve rizon Wireless Coverage map.
16 Data Usage The Data Usage page allow s you to obtain data usage and bil ling cycl e information for your mobile broadband plan. From the My Jetpack H ome page, selec t Data Usage , and y ou wil l see usage informa tion for yo ur mobile data plan , a nd w hen your billing cycle ends, when usa ge data is avail able.
17 Connected Devices The Connected Dev i ces pa g e allow s you to view and edit devices that are curren tly connected to your Jetpac k. You can also bl ock and unbloc k device connections. Any devi ces blocked from connecting w ith the Jetpack can also be vi ewed.
18 MAC A ddress – T he M AC address is a uni que netw ork identifier for this connected d evice. Edit – Cli ck the pencil ic on or the device Name to edit a conne cted devi ce Name . Max Device – Clicking it allows you to go to the Wi -Fi Settings menu to cha nge the maximum number of connected devi ces.
19 Blocked Devices The Blocked Dev ices menu contains the following options: Block Button – Click Block to di sconnect a conne ct ed devi ce and prev ent it from reconnecting. The blocked dev ice t hen appea rs in the Blocked Devices list. This option is available for use with each connec ted device, ex cept for your ow n device.
20 Jetpack Settings The Jetpack Sett ings page allows y ou to make dev ice changes, select mobi le network op tions, and update softw are. This functional ity is only availab le on the Jetpack W eb UI.
21 3 Enter your current A dmin Password in the Cur rent pass w ord field. 4 Enter your new passw ord in the Enter ne w password field. 5 Re -enter your new pass word in the Re - enter pass word field. 6 Select a Security Q uestion fro m the dropdow n li st and enter the answ er in the box below the question.
22 Preferences The Preferences menu contains the following op tions: A utomatic shutdo wn – Select the le ngth of t ime before the Jetpac k will auto matically turn off if no devices are connecte d. The Jetpack will a utomatical ly shut down if the dev ice is running on battery power and no w ireless dev i ces ar e connecte d.
23 Last Update – Displ ays the date of the las t software upda t e. Update His tory – Displ ays the software upda te history. Factory Reset The Factory Reset menu allow s you t o restore al l of your Jetpac k’s settin gs to facto ry default values.
24 Please note that per forming a Factory Reset is a different process than per forming a Pow er Reset. Factory Reset – returns de vice to factory de f ault settin gs.
25 Wi - Fi Pas sword – Use this setting to enter your desired W i-Fi password. 802 . 11 Mode – Use this settin g to chan g e the W i-Fi mode. The Jetpac k allow s devices using 802.11b , 802.11g, an d 802.11n to connec t to the wireless netw ork.
26 Click Continue on the Adv anced menu warning screen to access the Adv anced options: Manual DNS (Domain Name Serv er) SIM (Subscr iber Identit y Module) Firewall LAN (Local Area N etwork) Port Filtering Manual DNS The Jetpack au tomatically selects a Domain Na me Server (D NS).
27 SIM The SIM menu allow s you t o loc k the SIM (Subscriber Identity M odule) card in your Jetpack . The SIM card insi de your Jetpac k can be loc ked with a PIN code for additional security. If locked, the P IN code must be entered before the Jetpack can co nnect to the Internet, whenever you pow er on your Jetpack .
28 To change SIM PIN, 1. You can change SIM PIN only when SIM PIN Lock Status enabled. 2. Select Change SI M PIN from Desired Action menu. 3. Enter current SIM PIN and enter new SIM PIN t wi ce. 4. Click Save Chan ges button . To unlock SIM , 1. When your Jetpac k is SI M PIN locked, and it is pow ered on, “ SIM PIN Locked .
29 2. Connect your dev ice through Wi-Fi. 3. Launch an interne t browser and open Jetpack W eb UI ( http://my.jetpac k or http://192.168.1.1 ). The Web UI pops up a window to enter SIM PIN. 4. Enter the curren t SIM PIN and click Unloc k IMPORTA NT! You wi ll be g iv en 3 attempts to enter a righ t PIN code.
30 Firewall The Jetpack Fire w all determine s which Interne t tra ffic is allow ed. The Firewall menu contai ns the follow ing options: VPN Pass through Mode – Tu rns the VPN featur e ON or OFF , all owi ng or preventing connected dev ices to establ ish a secure VPN connection.
31 LAN The LAN page gives you setting s and in formation about the Jetpack’s ne twork. The LAN menu contains the foll owing informa tion and options: IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4) o IP address – The IP address for the Jetpac k o Subnet mask – Th e Subnet mas k networ k setting for the Jetpack.
32 Port Filtering Port Filtering all ows y ou to block outgoing In ternet connections and permit only allow ed applications to access the In ternet. You can al so customiz e a list of all owed applicatio ns which permits only certain programs to connect to the In ternet.
33 A pplications – select each por t filterin g application that needs to be able to access the Internet by chec k ing the bo x in front of one or mo re applications.
34 Messages Messages display SM S messages sent to you by Verizon W ireless, and include a counter to reflect the nu mber of message s receiv ed. On the Jetpack The status ind icator on the Home screen di splays the number of mes sages to the righ t of the message icon.
35 About Jetpack The About Jetpack page allow s you to view detailed information about Jetpac k Internet s tatus, device speci fic information , diagnostics, troubleshooting, and support.
36 Je tpack Info The Jetpack In fo page contai ns detailed in formation about your Jetpac k: Manufacturer Model My Jetpack version Diagnostics The Diagnostics page is used p rimarily for troubl eshooting and re flects system lev el information abou t your Modem and th e 4G LTE network.
37 Logs The Logs page allow s you t o tu rn loggin g ON or OFF and to delete system lo gs as needed. These logs record various opera tions and are used primari ly for troublesho oting. Default setting is OFF . To enable loggi ng, select ON , then clic k Save Chan ges button.
38 4 Troubleshooting.
39 Overview When used prope rly, the Jetpac k is a hi ghly reliable product . Most probl ems can be attributed to one of the follow ing issu es: System resources requir ed by the Jetpac k are being used by other devices. Network covera ge is unav ailable due to the cov erag e area, account problems, or a ne twork problem.
40 How do I perfo rm a Factory Reset? To reset your Jetpac k back to factory default setti ngs, connect to your Jet pack via the W eb User Interface ( http:// my.jetpa ck , or, http://192.168 .1.1 ). Select Jetpack Setting s>Factory Reset . I cannot connec t to Wi -Fi after changing Wi-Fi password.
