CONFIGURING THE SETTINGS 12 m Y ou can conf igure the settings of this uni t using the operation keys on this un it or a W eb browser (W eb menu) on the PC connected to this unit. • Some settings can be performed only by accessing th e “W eb Settings Page” for the system from the PC.

The audio can be picked up with narro w directivity so that other noises can be reduced. This m ode is suitable to pick up the audio clearly in a noisy environment.

USING THE SIP SERVER 24 If this unit is used in an en vironment with a SIP server , the address of the SIP server to be referenced by this unit and the SIP address of this unit should be registered. If password a uthentication is require d for accessing the desired SIP server , it is al so necessary to enter the password.
25 Using the SIP Server CONFIGURA TIONS English ■ Calling another unit b y dialing the user ID Y ou can call the other party by dialing the user ID if it consists of onl y the numbers. Example: SIP address of th is unit is SIP: 200@server1.net, and the other party is SIP: 201@server1.

29 CONFIGURA TIONS English T o have a meeting in a lar ge conference room or with a lar ge number of persons, some ProjectPhone systems can be connected as slav e units to this system. The number of connectable systems varies depending on the installation en vironment.
CONNECTION USING AUDIO CONNECTION CABLES 30 This system can be used as a high-pe rformance, high-quality microphone /speak er unit when it is connected to a PC or TV conference system with an audio cable. ■ Connection Prepare two commercially a vailable audio c onnection cables (stere o mini-jack cables).
31 Connection Using Audio Connection Cables CONFIGURA TIONS English If your PC or TV conference system doe s not ha ve the line input/outpu t terminals, it can be connected to this system using the headphone output a nd microphone input terminals.
32 Connection Using Audio Connection Cables The PC settings should be cha nged so that the audio input from this unit to the PC is not output t o this unit. It is necessary to change the setup so that the audio input from the connected termin al is accepted.

UPDATING THE FIRMWARE 34 Y ou can download the firmware (program to co ntrol the functi ons of this unit) to use the latest featur es. There are two ways to instal l the firmwa re. One way is to connect to the Internet using this unit and automatically install the latest firmw are.
35 Updating the Firmware CONFIGURA TIONS English Follo w the procedure below to install the latest firmwa re automatica lly . • Automatic firmware update can be performed only if this unit is connected to the Inter net. If c onnection is not possible, follo w the procedure in “Updating the f irmware manu ally” (page 36).
36 Updating the Firmware When the firmware update is co mplete This unit restarts automatic ally . Check the versio n number in the “Program V ersion” on the top of the W eb menu to confirm that the new f irmware has been installed properly .

40 Troubleshooting Q3: A call cannot be made Prob lem Cause Remedy A call cannot be origina ted. An inapprop riate IP addres s is entered. Check the IP address of the ot her unit and enter the corr ect IP address. The IP addr ess of the other unit h as been changed.
41 Troubleshooting ADDITIONAL INFORMA TION English Problem Cause Remedy A call cannot be receiv ed. The connecti on mode settings of this unit and the other u nit are dif ferent. A unit in t he mesh conne ction mode can not communic ate with a unit in a cascade connection mode.
RESETTING THIS UNI T 42 Y ou can restore the factory settings of this unit. Before restoring the factory settings, note the following. • All of the settings that have defa ult settings are set to the default settings. • Once the factory settings ar e restored, the previous settings made by the user cannot be recalled.

OBTAINING THE SETTING INFORMATION FOR SUPPORT ON THIS UNIT 44 Y ou can download the setting information and sav e th em in your PC for reference when a problem occurs. These files are used for support and cannot be opened or edited using normal applications.
