This manual contains important information about the assembly , operation and maintenance of this product and system. General safety information is presented in these first few pages and is also located throughout the manu- al.
3 General Safety Information cont. • BURN HAZARD • Unit is hot when being used. Use care when servicing. • Keep out of reach of children. W ARNING • SERVICE SAFETY • Keep all connections and fittings clean. Make sure propane tank valve out- let is clean.
4 Assembly ■ Insert Axle through one Wheel and then insert Axle through Axle Bushings.(Make sure side of tire with recessed area on hub is to the outside.) ■ Insert Axle through second wheel & cap both ends with Retainer Nuts. ■ T o properly seat Retainer Nuts, gently tap with a hammer & support the bottom of Axle.
5 Assembly cont. ■ Turn the Base over . ■ Install legs to base. All Legs are identical. ■ Do not install screws until Step 7. ■ Install Retaining Screws at bottom of Legs. Step 5 ■ Unit is now pre- pared for tank installation. ■ Turn Head Assembly over while holding lid closed.
6 Assembly cont. ■ Set tank in unit with open side of T ank Ring facing front of Mosquito Deleto. Step 10 ■ Set T ank Retainer on ring of Propane T ank. Step 1 1 ■ Attach hose to tank. ■ Tighten thumb screw securely . Leak Check W ARNING • Perform leak test outdoors.
Assembly cont. 7 CAUTION Contents of octenol cartridge are harmful if swallowed. W ash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using bathroom facilities. Avoid contact with inside surface of foil package. Step 13 ■ Remove Mosquito Deleto TM octenol lure refill from foil package.
8 Proper Inhibitor and Trap Placement 1. Placement of the trap – find an area of your yard that is shaded, cool, or well protected by brush. Refer to the Quick Tips Sheet. 2. Mosquitoes breed in standing water or areas that become flooded with water during rain storms.
9 Maintenance T o enjoy years of outstanding performance from your mosquito trap perform the following maintenance activities on a regular basis: • Keep exterior surfaces clean. • Use warm soapy water for cleaning. Never use flammable or corrosive cleaning agents.
