www.desatech.com 110361-01E 9 CONNECTING TO GAS SUPPLY WARNING: A qualified ser- vice person must connect heater to gas supply. Follow all local codes. CAUTION: Never connect propane/LP heater directly to the propane/LP supply. This heater requires an external regulator (not supplied).
www.desatech.com 110361-01E 10 WARNING: Use pipe joint sealant that is resistant to liquid petroleum (LP) gas. W e recommend that you install a sediment trap in supply line as shown in Figure 7. Locate sediment trap where it is within reach for cleaning.

W ipe the cabinet to remove dust. LOGS • If you remove logs for cleaning, refer to In- stalling Logs, pages 1 1 and 12, to properly re- place logs.

Only a qualified service person should service and repair heater. CAUTION: Never use a wire, needle, or similar object to clean ODS/pilot.
